I look at Tyler and I can tell he's thinking the same thing I am, when did we go through a time warp. We both looked around in awe, not sure if this is just a front or the real deal. Confused at what we were seeing, Looking at Thadeus I asked, "What is all of this??" Thinking this can't be real. He looked at me and with hesitation says, "Project Pegasus."
"What?!" I exclaim "But how?? It was shut down in the in 1987." "As far as you know it was," He said with a smirk "I brought you here for a reason, you'll soon know why."
I looked around as we went into a set of bolted doors, "So why do you need us?" I asked him, "It's not like we can do anything about it right now, we were just shot at by the people we trusted."
He looks at Tyler and I and just smirks, "I'll show you," leading us through another set of bolted doors. Stopping dead in our tracks we see him, Peter.., "I know what you're thinking Janet and you're right this can't be Peter, because it isn't." Placing his hand on Tylers should and in pure rage slams Thadeus with the biggest earth shattering blow you can imagine, echoing. "What do you mean that's not Peter?" Anger driving him, slowly crushing his wind pipe "What is going on here?"
"You better talk quick, you know how his anger gets when you toy with him." Crouching next to them as I say this. "He's a clone." He faintly says, Tyler easing up his grip slightly, "What was that?" Tyler asks pulling him up some, "I said, He's a clone."
Tyler gets up and we back away, "What do you mean? How?" Thadeus clears his throat, "I was the one that recovered his body, there's something you should see, follow me." We begin walking with him down a long hallway with minimum light and what looked like a magenta neon coming out of the room at the end.
As we walk I can't help think of what I just saw, Peter sitting in his cot with 9 other bunks around him. I hear Tyler, "What the fuck?" I look up in horror, oh my god, what did we just get ourselves into..?
