As Kisaki chewed on her food, she looked off to the side, her eyes landed on the bookshelf next to her. On a specific book. A book she did not recognise. She reaches her hand out to feel the book, as she made contact with the navy coloured hardcover book. Her index finger trailed along the smooth leather spine of the book. She pulled the book out of its place and flipped it over to look at the cover. On the bottom half of the book states, "Eien (永遠)"; on the upper half on the book was an engraved lone closed eye with a silver lining. The book wasn't too big nor too little, just about the size of her hand. Maybe the size of an A6? Only now she recognised the book.
She looked over to her left to check if the door is locked, then flipped the book open. Only to feel a rush of energy surging through her. Unexplainable. It felt good and weird. Like something crawling in her. She could only assume that her ability is activated because from the petals on the ground surrounding her chair.
"Why the hell do I make petals when my ability activates?" Kisaki grumbled. As when she said that the petals slowly started to fade as new ones fell from her hair to replace the old ones. Kisaki looked back to the book, there's a name on it. She knew the name. The person's name brought her back around a year or 2.
"Gochisousama deshita (ご馳走さま でした)".
She steadily stood up, made sure her ability is not activated then walked out of her room with the food tray in hand. Quietly walking around the corner she hoped no one would be around here. She didn't even know why she's so cautious anyway. She inhaled deeply and made a run for it.
"Uwah?!"
As she and the other person collided making her ability to activate in fright. The petals floated around them and they fell to the floor, some landing on the other person's head and the floor, then faded. The food tray survived somehow.
"Petals?" A familiar voice rang through her ears. Kano. "Are you leaking?"
Kisaki's eyes widen, she never thought of that. She was leaking energy, she's tipping over her radiation adaptability.
(And yet something in her yearns for more).
"Forget that for now", she heard him talk again snapping her from her dark train or thoughts. "You need to tell Hiruma-san about this or it's gonna downhill".
"I am aware", she grumbled at him leaning on the wall to help herself get up with one hand holding the food tray she almost dropped. "Where are you going?"
"Matsuo's".
She looked at him bemusedly. 'Matsuo? Ah'.
"Fujita-senpai".
The moment she uttered his name the intensity of the awkwardness around them increased ten-fold. Kano cleared his throat, "I'll be going now then", He started to walked past her, "Don't forget to tell Hiruma-san too!"
The moment he was gone she let out a sigh of relief that she didn't realise she was holding, the air was so tense. She looked down at the food tray she was still holding, at the corner of her eyes, she can't see the petals anymore. "Fuck it". With that, she just left her tray in front of her door and just went back in.
"Why am I suddenly leaking now...?" She spoke to herself as her eyes skimmed around the room spotting the bottle of tea in the bin. Making a bee-line for it, she picked it up observing it. "Can't be this.. can it?"
But... "Tora drank from the vending machine too, so why...Am I the only one who's been spiked?"
The bottle itself looks like any tea bottle that she's seen in any convenient stores, someone can't just randomly inject it and hope by chance that she was going to get it. But the possibility... is still quite high.
