Chapter 4 - Initiation

Author's Note: So, it's been a while...yep I was just lazy sooo, sorry about that. I did have an interesting idea for another story, for when I lose motivation for this one but I won't be focusing on it until this one is at least like 80% done. That's all for now so, Cya!

Third Person Pov
It was a serene morning, birds chirping, flowers blooming and a ginger on crack screaming causing Y/n to wake up.

Y/n, did not get a decent amount of sleep last night, plagued with nightmares of his past and the worries of yesterday swarmed him.

This ginger, who was now talking with the guy whom she was trying to wake, was most certainly not improving his mood.

'Shut uuuup! I don't want to get up yet...'

Despite how tired he was, Y/n sluggishly got up and lumbered towards the bathroom to do his business and leave, seeing as he was already geared up.

Once he was done Y/n decided to wander around until he stumbled upon the locker rooms, in which there was a blonde who was trying to flirt with Weiss.

'Good luck buddy, i'm rooting for you, truly I am'

Y/n used this moment while Weiss was distracted to continue moving forward, pulling out his scroll and earphones to listen to some music.

While scrolling through his playlist and setting on a song, y/n looks up in time to bump into a wall, falling on his butt.

Yang: "You ok Y/n?"

A wall that sounds like yang, apparently. Looking up from his position on the floor Y/n clearly saw yang, her hair looking like it was glowing because of the light behind her.

For a second Y/n was entranced at the sight, before he realized what he was doing and silently stood up.

Looking more clearly, Y/n saw that Ruby was next to Yang as well while cradling her weapon in her arms.

'...Is that weapon her child or something?'

Yang: "...Y/n? You in there buddy?"

Hearing this snapped Y/n out of his stupor causing him to quickly respond.

Y/n: "Yeah, i'm sorry I'll look where i'm going next time"

Y/n quickly goes to swerve around Yang and continue walking, only to have Yang stick out her arm catching him.

Yang: "C'mon! You just dropped in, at least tell me about your trip. Eh? Eeehh?"

Ruby: "Yaaaang, please stop!"

Yang looked towards Y/n to see his reaction, however he kept his face neutral, even if he found the puns slightly amusing.

Y/n: "Those were awful, I just hope you know that"

Yang: "They weren't that bad"

Ruby: "Yes they were!"

Before the argument could escalate any further between the two, with Yang inevitably telling more puns, the intercom came on.

Intercom: "Would all students please make their way to Beacon Cliff for initiation"

Yang: "Welp, let's go Rubes. Seeya later Y/n!"

With that, Yang left dragging Ruby behind her by the hood.

'That's finally over! why do they keep talking to me? ...Maybe it wouldn't hurt to trust them...no, not yet. I won't let myself get betrayed again'
