Edwin's P. O. V

"Psssshhhh, me, high, never." I pointed at myself.

"Yeah right," Brandon rolled his eyes humorously. After a couple of minutes Chalize's phone died; so with her being shy and Romeo over here acting starstruck, I was stuck making the conversation.

"Soooo, bestie, whatcha doing later?" I turned to Chalize.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, you're moving to fast whe need to take things slow and steady." She joked back.

B laughed and kind of stared at her partially in amusement and partially in longing. Ooooo, my boy caught feelings after what ten minutes.

"But for real though, got any plans?"

"Actually we were planning to go to your concert tonight for Talighea's birthday."

"Oh word?" Brandon questioned.

"We need to get you some meet and greet passes." I said.

"Or V. I. P," Brandon added.

"But the show is literally tonight." She curved.

"And we are literally PRETTYMUCH." I shot back.

"And I am literally hungry." Brandon said.

"We literally just left a coffee shop." She fired.

"Literally that was a good one."

"Thank you, I literally accept cash and Amazon gift cards."

"Literally?" Brandon spoke, before we all burst into laughter.

"Ok, ok, do I turn left or right?"

"Literally left." Brandon answered.

"To the left to the left." I started humming.

"Everything you own in a box to the left." Brandon sang the next part.

"Dont you ever for a second get to thinking..." I started singing, while Brandon harmonized with, "To the left to the left."

"You're irreplaceablllleeee..." we choursed.

"Sing with ussssss," Brandon shoved her shoulder.

"Aye, aye, aye do not push the driver."

"Come on bestie, you know you wanna."

"That's where your wrong, I don't wanna."

"I think someone's embarrassed." I teased pinching her cheeks. She scrunched her nose and swatted my hand away.

"Don't worry, we will get you to sing one day." Brandon promised, wiggling his eyebrows.

She snorted, "Yeah ok,"

"Or you could just sing in front of us nowwww." I suggested.

"Not happening."

We both groaned, which made her laugh.

"Ok, give me your phone?" I said.

"It's dead remember," She responded with a 'duh' tone.

"Oh, right, how 'bout this what's your number?"

"Why?" She questioned.

"So I can put it in my phone."

"Why?"

"Just tell me."

"I dont know,"

"What do you mean you don't know," Brandon asked.

"I mean I don't know my number."

"Who, doesn't know their number?" Brandon.

"Clearly, she doesn't," I shook my head.

"Well naw, but why?"

"I've never had to call myself did I?" She didn't take her eyes off the road.

"What about when you lost your phone?"

"The people who's phone I use to call mine, all have me as a contact."

We stayed silent, she had a point.

"Exactly." She knew she had won.

"Alright you see that building right there?" Brandon leaned in close.

"The one next to the Chinese restaurant?"

"Yeah, that's the studio."

"Alright," she pulled to the side of the curb. She started picking up all of her stuff.

"Why you bringing all your shit with you," I questioned.

"Have you never lived in the hood? You can't just leave shit in ya car, people will break a window for spare change?"

I never thought about it like that.

"Are you sure you're from the Bronx?" Brandon laughed. I pulled out my phone checking the time.

"Holy shit, we're late. Bye bestie, I'll see you later. C'mon Brandon we gotta go."

"I'm on my way,"

"Brandon..." He knows how I am about punctuality.

"I know we're late, but I said I'm on my way." I finally came to the realization of what was happening. Señor Brandon was gonna make a move.

"Aight, I'll be in the lounge room when you're done." He threw me a thumbs up and forced smile. Aftering Chalize a hug and Brandon a wink. I opened the door and headed upstairs.

My boy was growing up.
