{ Kiara }
I'm sitting in my room, staring at the ceiling like always. Currently lost in my thoughts.
These people really don't know me. I'm from Memphis, we hop over fences and run from the cops for fun. Since they wanna play, I know just the game. See, what my parents didn't know is that I had secret cameras installed in the house when we first moved. You might think I'm crazy but I'm cautious. I grew up in the ghetto, so moving to the suburbs was risky. I go on my phone & click the security camera app. I rewind it back to last night around 7:30.. I clicked on the outside camera.. there was a mysterious female figure messing with the circuit breaker. After shutting the lights off, she looks at the camera. You'll never guess who it was.My mom.
So, she set me up? She probably wanted me to be scared so I would beg her to move back to Memphis. If my mom, cut the lights, maybe Brad was the one who was choking me. Then, I went to my room. When the lights went came back in my room, it wasn't Brad who was choking me..
It was my brother.
I know y'all probably thinking, you was in your brother's room, how could he be choking you. Long story short, I had a twin brother. My mom told me he died at birth. There's just a problem: she was lying.
My aunt Day couldn't have children, so she gave my brother Keith to her. He was raised to know my mom as auntie and I still don't think he knows that I know. I stumbled upon this when I had my boy Jay do some investigating cause I felt like we had a deeper connection. Like I felt like we were family even though we were "cousins".
He was always jealous of me because I was the kid that everybody loved. I was my grandma's favorite child. Keith wanted me gone because he wanted to be the favorite grandchild, but would he actually go to the lengths to kill me?
I needed to find a way to protect myself from them. It's a shame that I can't trust anybody in my own house. I would go away, but I would hate to leave my little brother in this type of toxic environment. I'm just going to play the game with them too. First, I need to make a call.
Ring. Ring.. Ring...
???: "Hello?"
Me: "Hey Jay, it's me, Kiara. I need you to send one of your boys down here. These folks slimey, they trying to set me up."
Jay: "How?"
I told Jay the story and he was just as shocked as me. He told me he would send his boy Mark down here to plant some bugs in the house. Mark stayed in Macon, so I know it wouldn't take him long to get here. I told him the plan would take effect on Saturday. This is really crazy.. my own mom is trying to set me up. If one thing's for certain, she gone learn who her babygirl really is. I just gotta find a way to get them out of the house.. but I know just the way.
A Family Day Out. I'll tell them I want to spend time with them, so we'll go to Six Flags and then go bowling & out to eat. I'll place my house key in the flower plant so Mark can get in, do what he gotta do, and get out. I don't trust people though, so I called up my girl Shay to make sure she was gone watch him. She will keep her distance but act if necessary. Everything seems to be coming together, but now I have to get my outfits together. I don't have to go to the store because I have too many clothes already. I plan everything out, pack my clothes and lay back down. It's Tuesday, so I'll tell my family tomorrow. All that planning had me tired, so I'm just going to go to sleep. As I fell into my sleep, I dreamed of puppies and kittens, the idea of happiness. I wish it could stay like this all the time.
{ Kristen's POV } - Kiara's Mom
As I heard Kiara planning to set me up, I went back up the stairs to tell my gang about it. She think she's going to play me? I'm slicker than baby oil. Now, I have to outsmart her. Right game, wrong mom. I know y'all wondering, why you setting your own daughter up? Well, it all started when Kiara was little..
- Flashback : April 12th, 2012 - Nobody's POV
9 year old Kiara: "Hey mom, look what I can do!"
As Kristen turned around, Kiara threw a cleaver at her mom's head. Lucky for Kristen's reflexes, she ducked, missing the weapon by a hair. Kristen instantly broke down, crying because she was afraid her babygirl would grow up to kill her one day. Although she was only 9, Kiara was very gifted with any type of weapon: you could call her a tiny assassin. She didn't know any better though, Kiara just thought they were big toys.
Watching her mom cry, Kiara started to form tears in her eyes as well.
Kiara (while sniffling) : "Mommy, I'm sorry. I just wanted to show you what I could do."- Flashback over -
So you see, I've always been afraid of Kiara. I'm not trying to kill her, I'm just trying to show her how dangerous she is. I told my gang to show up at the house, the same time Mark showed up. The plan was for Mark to die so that Kiara would feel sorry and humble herself.
Checkmate babygirl.
