Beau woke up and immediately frowned. It'd been a week since he'd stayed at Tony's house and he was sure he'd never get used to his bed again. The small twin he slept in would never compare to the Alaska King Tony had. That's right, there's sizes above Californian and Tony had them all.

After Tony's convincing of Beau to stay he'd given him a tour of the house. It was apparently smaller than his house in Malibu which Tony gave a possible invitation for Beau to visit. Beau wasn't sure but he'd jump on the opportunity in an instant.

While Tony gave his tour and told Beau about the bedrooms Beau couldn't help but notice the slight frown in his voice as they looked at the empty rooms. Then they'd ended up in Tony's room.

It was...surprisingly not what Beau imagined it to look like. He'd imagined tons of framed posters and shelves of awards and pictures of Tony's accomplishments. But no. It was just the bed, dresser, and a hand full posters of movies and bands Beau had never heard of. There was only one picture and it was of Tony and his parents that rested on the dresser, a heavy layer of dust coating it.

Beau had heard about Tony's parents. They'd learned about Howard Stark's accomplishments and life in school as well as his death. It was odd looking at a picture like this, especially since Beau hadn't even been born yet. It seemed like a totally different world but here was Tony Stark who had been at the center of it.

Tony and Beau had ended up falling asleep in Tony's bed after watching two star wars movies, eating a gallon of ice cream, and one nature show where Beau fell asleep half way through.

The next morning Beau woke up before Tony, leaving him a note and left. He felt a little bad for not saying goodbye in person but Tony looked like he needed the sleep.

Beau had woken up three days later in his car (an usual occurrence) to find 50, 000 dollars in his bank account on top of what he had already gained from working as well as an email from the state saying all eighteen of his parking tickets had been paid (not an usual occurrence).

Beau had a hunch who it was and had been tempted to text Tony to ask and demand he take the money back but he knew it would be fruitless. Based on their interaction in the cake shop Tony was dead set on giving him money.

Plus, maybe now Beau could afford the glasses he needed plus rent out an apartment instead of sleeping in his car.

So he'd rented a very very small one room apartment. He wanted to save that money for as long as he could and he wasn't going to go out and buy a fancy ass one he didn't need. He'd gotten an appointment with an eye doctor and received glasses the next day. It was mainly for close up stuff like reading, working etc. but it was nice to actually be able to read his phone in a normal font.

Beau cracked his neck and stretched out his arms as he begun to get ready. He brushed his teeth, pulled on his uniform and made his way to work.

It was a Tuesday which meant he had work at the Mans' from one to five and before that, grocery delivery from eight to twelve, leaving him a fifteen minutes for lunch. On Wednesday's he worked delivery all day, with the restaurant seven to closing time.

Wow he needed money. A small voice in the back of his brain kept remaining him about the extra  50,000 but he was worried that at any moment it could disappear, so he'd keep his jobs.

Grocery delivery could vary in excitement depending on the person. He once had to pick up fifty cans of tuna and met a very nice old lady who offered him one of her kittens. He had to politely decline, one because of his allergies and two because the cats looked ready to attack at any moment.
