"Don't think about what might go wrong, think about what might go right"

" Okay, we can curl it," I say looking at my oily bed hair.

"Oh my lord, Summer darling curling hair isn't the only thing u can do to hair," Marcus yells before turning back to his phone.

"Well, I always feel like curls look happy," I say roll my eyes. He hangs up with who he was on the phone with and put his hands on my shoulders.

"You're not trying to look happy you're trying to look sexy, okay" I slump over

"And how the hell are we gonna do that" I mumble frustrated. Just cause I am acting out at the thought I am dying doesn't mean I suddenly get a new personality and dress differently. Sexy makes my nerves act weird. I like an outfit that's just pretty no wow factor.

" With my help of course," Olivia said busting through the door. Great, he brought his buddy in crime this is embarrassing. Let's just say she look like a movie star while I look like poop. As if she read my mind she said " don't be embarrassed everyone goes threw this stage"depression? looking like poop? dying? mmh she needs to be more direct. She straightens my hair and did my makeup gladly she gave me a light layer. She also dressed me up in a dress that looks like it was made out of diamonds it stopped right above my knees. The dress had openings on the sides of the dress exposing skin I wasn't used to show. Breathe.

"Marcus!!!! Come look she is beautiful." Olivia yelled smiling hard. Marcus saw me and his eyes trace my body.

"Oh shit, if we weren't best friends I would smash you, definitely smashable," he said making me and Olivia look as if we were going to throw up.

"My work here is completed," she said smirking. I looked at the clock noticing we were two hours late. Marcus grabbed our arms and lead us to the car

"party time ladies," he said already tipsy. When we got to the party it was loud and full of people. I started to feel nervous. So many popular people were here and then there was me not lame and not popular just kinda there. Olivia has left us to go with her other friends leaving Marcus stuck with me. " are you okay" he asked noticing my nervous feelings.

" what do I suppose to do here," I asked unsurely. he laughed and rubbed my cheek.

" Anything Summer just enjoy yourself " still confused about how to do that I stand there making Marcus roll his eyes he grabbed me by my arm and brought me to the kitchen. "drink this," he said handing me a punch. I looked at it for a whole min before drinking it. It was good I drink all and Marcus get me another cup.

"Marcus come play " a drunk boy with a red cup in his hand yelled Marcus shakes his head no

" Im good I got to watch my friend," he said making me feel bad he literally watching me do nothing instead of having fun.

"go ahead," I said nodding my head to his friend. "I will still be here" he grabbed my hand

" Are you sure?" he asked

"positive" I didn't have to tell him twice before he was gone. bored and lonely I went to get another drink.

"Maybe if you try something a little stronger you can have more fun," a guy in the corner of the kitchen says sipping out a Hennessy bottle.

"Having a hangover does"t sound fun at all?" I remark

"have you ever had one," he asked curiously and amused I narrowed my eyes at him making him laugh. "I assume not by that look so why is a goodie like you at my party." no he did not

" First, I am not a goodie and second why are you bothering me ask her why she here," I said pointing at the girl making out with a random guy.

"clearly to get laid," he said pointing at the girl now leading the boy upstairs. "but, you clearly don't do this scene just cause you dress apart don't make you apart," he said hurting my feeling. felt as if he was saying go home which is embarrassing before I could think straight I did something regular I wouldn't have.

"well, let's play a party game then if I win you can shut the hell up and leave me alone," I said making him smirk. He pushes himself off the wall walking over to me.

"And if I win," he said coarsely I looked up at him since he now towering over me. I shrugged

"What do you want" he pulls his bottom lip between his teeth

"stay a night with me," he said astounding me. I thought back to the knowledge I got this morning on my limited time. This is living right the way my heart is beating at the thought of being reckless.

"why," I ask he doesn't say nothing just keep looking m in my eyes

"so you still trying to make a deal with the devil," he said with his eyes full of humor.

"When a person uses a phrase like that nine out of ten you shouldn't do it," I say slowly. It's like he can see my soul and testing me.

"but," he said waiting for me to respond.

"I have nothing to lose and I really want you to shut up," I say pushing him out my personal bubble making him chuckle.

" your adorable," he said pissing me off what is with everyone and the half-ass complements damn.

"what are we playing," I ask

"beer pong," he said " easy peasy" it would be easy if I was not a total lightweight, but my pride was too strong.

"yep, easy peasy" I respond crossing my arms. as we walked over to the table my heart pounded. oh my gosh if I lose I got to spend the night with a stranger boy and I suck at not getting drunk.

"clear out," he said in an authoritative voice making everyone clear the table, and everyone also watches the table. Great an audience just what I needed. " are you ready baby doll" he said with a smirk holding a white ball.

" Only one way to find out Let play already," I remark irritated and nervous. For it to be a party it got really quiet. what was the big deal they never have seen a girl try to beat a boy in beer pong? that's when I started to hear the whispers.

"who is she"

"she going against Travis"

"oh she going to lose Travis is beer pong champ and it's his birthday. it will kill his reputation to lose to her"

"I hope she ain't make a bet with the devil"

oh shit im in deep shit
