...

5 years after the death of his mother, the young Arthur had quite gotten used to living his life with the old man,

his day starts at 5 where he'd have to go to town and buy food for both, he would greet the vendors and chat for a bit as he bought food ,

5:30 in the young man's pocket watch he'd have to get back as he knows very well that the old man must be waiting for him,

6:00, the boy arrives and prepares a meal for them both,

6:15, the time where the old man would come to Arthur and say something along the lines of "You should get a wife, Young man, you're about the right age, eh?" or something like "You Have to get a life little boy", for Arthur who has listened to every single rant coming from the old man's mouth, things like this never seemed different, the boy simply laughed at the man's words, around 7, where no one was supposed to disturb the silence in the house, a unfamiliar sound of someone knocking came through the door

Knock-knock-knock

The gentle almost soundless taps from the door echoed across the house' stern interior, the young man seemed to be in a daze, something unfamiliar happened in this household for the first time In 5 years, they never had any visitors, for the house was simply too far away for someone to leisurely come and pass by and say 'hello', Arthur came to the door front, only to see no one, no one but the wind blowing gently from the east, 'must've been the wind' the boy thought and went back inside to see his favorite view of the sea, the sea reminded him of his life, empty, and desolate...

Knock-knock-knock

Another gentle tap sounded across once again, 'must be the wind again' the boy thought to himself,

Knock-knock-knock

The sound was once again heard along with the sound of the wind, the boy came up to the door and looked, this time he waited longer, a man dressed casually came up the door, he looked quite rugged

"Is the old man there?" the man asked "Uh yeah, he just drank tea a couple minutes ago" the young boy answered "Please, can you please tell the old man, Darus was looking for him" Arthur nodded, and the man left hastily, "Gramps, someone was looking for you" Arthur called out "Who was it?" the old man asked "Darus he said", as like lightning the old man jolted up from his seat "Whadda say?"

"I SAID DARUS WAS LOOKING FOR YOU!" Arthur yelled, "Hmmmm...." The old man started mumbling words, Arthur was quickly put to confusion, "Who is that Darus anyway?" in all his 5 years of stay here never had he have heard of the name, "He was, my old student" the man went on " he had been a quick learner, he quickly adapted to whatever challenge he was put in" Arthur stood in silence, what did the old man teach, the young boy had heard of rumors about the old man's past, but he never believed in it once, the said the old man was once a 'Seeker' not that he knew the meaning behind the name, but still he was curious "well then take care of the house while I'm gone, I'll be back after a few hours"

"why?" the young boy unexpectedly blurted out, he had to cover his mouth, 'what the hell?'

"To find 'something'" the old man smiled and went away

'Something?'

The boy turned back and shut the door behind him, "ah grandfather's cane, he must've forgotten about it"

"Hey, Grandpa  you forgot your cane" the boy said, only to see that the old man was gone, vanishing swiftly like breeze blowing in the meadow.
