Wednesday~

I really don't know what to do anymore. it's the 4th day since Joe disappeared and no news. except for the stupid cops from yesterday, how dare they? anyway i'm eating ice cream with Alfie. he bought me a huge container cause I've been crying all night. we have a knock on the door. ugh do we have to answer it? I look like shit

Alfie opens the door and it's the cops from yesterday... oh bloody great

we sit down and I swear if they don't come up with legit news I'll kill them

"we searched the scene and we found a few things. first we found a jacket with Caspar's d.n.a it contained a bottle opener and his wallet, we are not sure why would it be left behind. we also found a pack of gum covered in Joe's fingerprints assuming he dropped it. a witness says the two were running away from the pub laughing and Joe dropped something, it was a crumpled piece of gum wrap with a weird message, we came to see if you could understand the meaning of it"

he shows me a picture of a note that says 'atoe re ight e nna ee ead' oh god

"I do understand"

Alfie gives me a puzzled look

"it's in a secret language we used as children, it says 'my love is here tonight i wanna be dead' I... saw him scribbling the note but decided not to ask what's in it, i'm an awful sister"

"you're not Zoe"

"you have any idea of where would he run to?"

"no"

"thank you for the information ma'am we will come back when we have news"

they leave and I burst out crying

Alfie hugs me

"I don't want him to be dead Alfie, i'm scared"

Thursday~

There's a knock on the door and I sprint to get it

the cops are here so I rush to let them in and sit down, alfie joins

"so we thought you'd like to know we found a few more witnesses who spotted them the same night at different locations, the most recent one being the sideways of a highway in the outskirts of Brighton, we have no idea how did they get so far so fast but we think they might be in the woods near the highway"

I'm so happy they have a clue

"when are you searching for them?'

"we have a search party on their way right now"

"is there anything we can do?"

"right now, the best thing you could do is to stay calm and be ready in case he finds his own way here"
