AT THE CRIME SCENE
Morgan didn't know that while he was keeping an eye out for Reid someone was planning to get to Reid the next day. Morgan and Spencer arrived at the new crime scene. When they opened the door, what they saw was gruesome.
Christine, the victim, was sprawled out on the floor with carvings all over her. The unsub hasn't done anything like this on the other victims. Morgan stopped in his tracks when he saw this, but Reid kept walking forward putting his gloves on. When he reached the body, he kneeled down to examine it.
"The carvings look like they are part of a code. I have seen this code once before but it was only in a book. It was said to be a myth." Reid said while lifting the arm to get a better look at it.
Morgan still couldn't believe what he was seeing. First he thought no person should be treated like the victim was and the second was he couldn't believe that the new kid would not even flinch at picking up the arm of the carved woman. "Well we know that he was devolving but this is like he got smarter." Morgan said with authority in his voice but behind that he was scared for the next women if they don't catch them and for Reid if this was the same guy who was beating up those men.
"Well the room looks like there was a struggle and the Woman has defensive wounds on her hands and arms. So she certainly put up a fight." Reid voiced still staring at the girl's arm fascinated with the code.
In the room the TV was on the floor broken, the couch had blood and tears all over it, and there was broken glass everywhere. "He must of used a glass vase, that used to be in here, to subdue her." Morgan said looking around and pointing to the pool of water on the hardwood. There was glass sticking out of her and a large pool of blood underneath her.
Suddenly they heard a noise coming from the back room. "What was that?" Reid asked coming out of a deep thought. It sounded like a crash.
"I don't know. Did you clear the house officer?" Morgan asked the officer in the room with accusation in his voice.
"I believe we got every room." the officer said quietly because he knew that someone missed a room. Morgan and Reid went to check the rooms to see if anyone was there. They went together because of Morgan didn't want Reid alone.
Suddenly, he hears a gunshot and something hit his head right before he blacks out.

Meanwhile, back at the BAU, Hotch was looking over Reid's profile. He was very confused by how this genius, who could be making a lot more money somewhere else, chooses to get into police work. He just didn't understand this kid at all. His phone starts to ring but he doesn't hear it.
The phone is lighting up with Derek's name on it. Not only does Hotch ignore it, he leaves without his phone to meet up with Gideon.
