KAITLYN
I stared at the envelope on my hand. It had a beautiful cover, intricately designed. On the right bottom was my name written neatly. I opened the envelope. It was an invitation.
GREENWOOD HIGH SCHOOL GATHERING
My eyes perked up on reading that. An alumni gathering? I was not excited. I continued reading.
We are holding our first alumni gathering at Royal Heaven Resort in Dubai. We request the presence of everyone for this event to be a success. Let us find time in our busy schedules to reminisce our old days. Let us get together with our old friends and have a blast. Let us do everything we used to do. Let us be innocent, mischievous and playful just like we were in our childhood.
(On the other pages are the details of the get-together)
Love,
Harry and the school group
I shoved the envelope right into the dustbin and left for the airport.
By the way I am Kaitlyn Victoria and I am 25 years old. I am a pilot for Pan Airways. Not a captain yet because I do not have the required experience. My childhood dream was to become a pilot. I didn't think I would actually fulfil it but here I am on my way to the airport for a flight to Dubai.
I am based in US currently and live together with my boyfriend, Sid. We are not exactly the perfect couple right now. We always fight. But I don't want to talk about it.
Sid's the softest person ever while I'm totally outspoken. He's drop dead gorgeous while I'm nowhere near gorgeous. Well Sid has said that I'm the most beautiful woman ever but I don't believe it. We both are polar opposites but somehow we are together. We wouldn't even be together if it weren't for me.
He was a passenger of one of my flights. After my flight when I went to pick up my luggage, I saw him. He was downright gorgeous. Add to that these words too: perfect face, perfect body, perfect skin, perfect smile, perfect everything. But I happen to be the complete opposite of perfect.
Anyway I saw him and fell in love with a person at first sight for the second time in my life. He caught me staring and smiled that perfect smile and waved. I blushed and smiled a goofy smile. He turned to walk away from this bit too long smiling smile. Obviously he was a busy man. I stood there watching him go away. I had to do something. Talk to him or whatever. I marched up to him and he turned to look at me expectantly. I looked him in the eyes. They were the twinkling sort of eyes. They were or some unexplained reason staring into mine like they were the prettiest. I gathered my courage and pulled him in a for a kiss. He kissed me back and we were lost in the kiss. Our tongues moved in a rhythm. I'm sure the airport staff was staring but who cares? We pulled back for some air. He sure must have been in a hurry because he disappeared from the airport without saying anything. I dared not look at anyone. I was too embarrassed. So even I disappeared from there.
That day I kept thinking about him while regretting about not asking his number or name or anything. Later when I was watching T.V the doorbell rang. I opened the door and there he was. Sid! I smiled at him and invited him in. We didn't hesitate for a second. We started kissing passionately and the he led me into the bedroom. What followed was bliss.
The next morning when I woke up I found a cup of coffee on the bedside table with a note. On the note was written: I'm in the hall. With a smiley face. I went there and found him cooking. He smiled on seeing me and came forward to give a hug. It was gentle unlike our wild lovemaking session last night. I hugged him back happy to be in his arms. He then whispered into my ears, " Will you be my girlfriend?" I whispered back, "I'd love to."
