Chapter Twenty-Two

AUDREY'S P.O.V
"Now!" The girls voice yelled, "I said drop it!"
Jorge and Thomas both put down the explosive and the detonator. We turned slowly on our heels and faced her. There were two girls with scarves covering their faces. One with dark skin and eyes yelled at us to stand. The other, pale and blonde, only motioned for us to move towards the others.
"Back up!" The same one yelled "you two over here now."
She pointed her gun to where Newt, Minho, and Chuck stood. I watched Minho as he guided Chuck behind himself.
"Come on let's go!" The blonde called out to everyone else
"Aris?" The other said. Looking to her again I saw that she was staring at the small boy without blinking. Her voice shook as we all turned to look at him behind Teresa. The girl removed the scarf from her face and rushed forward to hug him.
"Harriet?" Aris exclaimed shocked
"What the hell are you doing here?" The other girl asked as she came over to him. Removing her own scarf. I instantly recognized her from the cafeteria at WICKED. Her and Harriet sat at a table full of other girls talking when we first arrived there. Both Newt and I had seen her before.
"Sonya!" He greeted happily
"Aris your lucky we didnt shoot your dumbass!" She told him in a tight hug.
Newt, Minho, and I exchanged glances as the three pulled apart.
"Uh... what's happening?" Minho asked
"We were in the maze together," Aris explained finally.
Harriet stepped to the ledge of the road and whistled over the deep canyon. "We're clear guys, come on out!" Her voice echoed off the mountains around us.
Voices could be heard from all over and black silhouettes began to move against the sky.
"That's a lot of guns" Minho commented to me under his breath and I nodded in a agreement.
"Are we allowed to put our hands down?" Chuck whispered from behind us.
I smiled at him and nodded, "yeah I think we are good now," I told him glancing up at Minho's small smirk.
"What are you guys doing here Aris?" Harriet asked Aris turning back to him.
"We are-uh-trying to find this group, we heard they would be here. Somewhere in the mountains. The right arm?" He answered
"Well, you found them!" Sonya told him giving him another hug. Her voice cheerful "we can bring them back with us, cant we?"
The girl turned to Harriet
"I don't see why we cant."
We followed them through the destroyed cars and down the winding road to a tunnel blocked by a large truck.
"Back it up Joe!" Sonya yelled through the tunnel and the truck moved to reveal the other side. We moved our group towards a rather small military-looking jeep.
"We're taking them to base," Harroet explained to the man getting into the drivers seat.
Minho fell into pace beside me as we walked and took my hand. "That was a lot easier than I thought it would be"
"I was thinking the same thing," I smiled at him.
"Getting shot at and a possible explosion is easy to you?" Chuck questioned
"It definitely could have been worse, kid," minho replied
"Wait-so how did you guys get here?" Aris asked Sonya and Harriet.
"The right arm got us out," Harroet responded
"The right arm? So you do know who they are?" Thomas asked.
Harriet opened the door and nodded with her head toward the back seat. "Hop in."
