"hey, y/n" i walked up to her, sitting beside her.

"oh hey bronny" she turned to look at me, also waving at someone. i turned around to see, no one?

"so uhm how are you?" i asked her, drinking my gatorade.

"im doing great" she told me nodding her head and looking at me.

"never been better" she added, looking back up to the court.

"how are you?" she said putting the stress on you, with the beautiful smile of hers, that i adore o' so much.

"im fine. great to be exact." i told her with a small grin. she looked beautiful in every way. definitely the girl i wanna be with.

"hey b! the game's about to start, let's go!" zaire called out. are you kidding me?

"i guess i'll see you later?" she said, standing up, going down to the front bench.

"yeah yeah" i told her standing up as well.

"good luck, get the dub" she said giving me hug, catching me off guard.

"thank you, we will"

*1 hour later*

"you did it!!" y/n screamed and ran towards me. grabbing me into a hug, jumping.

"piece of cake" i told her with a smirk. she looks at me with a smirk and chuckled. i can listen to her small laughs all day. definitely music to my ears.

she did the same with the other guys, and all i can do is stare at her. no doubt, the one. i just really hope this will work. this is probably going to end our friendship but who knows.

we head to our lockers and celebrated. everyone was wilding. lil uzi was playing, bottles and towels were flying, coach was wet as hell. it was really crazy, but all i can really think about is y/n.

"you good?" ziaire asked, putting a hand on my shoulder, making me jump.

"yea yea, im good" i told him, putting my head down, drinking my water after.

"are you sure about it?" ziaire asked looking deeply into my eyes. knowing what he meant, i looked up at him and let out a sigh.

"yeah man, i guess im just gonna for it and see what happens" i told him, shrugging. im risking everything for this.

it was time to go home, but i know i had one thing to do. i took with me the singular flower i had that zhuri picked out, because she knows her so well.

"see you tomorrow, b" brandon and the others said, giving me a hug.

"goodluck brother" ziaire told me with a small smile on his face. i smiled back at him, shared hugs, and he went home.

i walked back into the court to see y/n and.. zaire? i was about to call y/n until i saw their lips touched. my heart dropped. as well as the flower. the girl i wanna be with, is inlove with another. with a close family. well, she's happy. and maybe i'll be happy for her too.

i guess i was there, but i guess it just wasnt enough.
