its my 3rd year celebrating new year with my bestfriend bronny and his family. he has been my rock since day one, and he's probably the one who understood me the whole 2019. he's the best i could ever ask for.

we were hosting a new year's eve party as it is kinda a tradition for us filipinos and the james' family is invited. (aS aLwAys)

"y/n !! can you help me for a sec?" my mom called.
"be right back" i told my friends as i stood up from the circle.

i went to the kitchen and started helping my mom arrange all the food and shit.

"are the james' here?" she asked.
"uh nope, not yet" i told her while putting the mango graham cake down. we heard a knock on the door all of a sudden. i ran to open it and there they are.

"y/n !!" zhuri screamed jumping at me. she went for a hug and i hugged back.
"happy new year y/n" i heard bryce said.
"happy new year bryce" i told him as he walked over for a hug.

i stood up and greeted with bronny up in my face.

"happy new year, y/n" he said as he instantly pulled me for a hug.
"oh, h-happy new year" i told him hugging back. he pulled away and we looked at each other's eyes.

"ehem" i heard lebron say. we instantly snapped out of our daze and went our way.

it was 11:30 and we were just really spending time with each other. zhuri was making smoothies with savannah, bryce and bronny were dancing. oh and also, the o'neals were invited so the party was wild as fuck.

i decided to go the balcony and get some air because was the room was getting really crowded and it was hard for me to breathe.

"finally," i told myself inhaling the fresh air.

"woah why the fuck are you up here?" i heard someone said. i turned around to see bronny walking towards me.

"am i the one who's suppose to ask you thAt?" i told him chuckling, sipping my drink after.

"you know y/n, i hope you know im really thankful for you" he said as we face each other.
"yeah i know you are" i told him with sass as he just chuckled.
"nah for real, im lucky to have you" he said as he looked at me as his eyes twinkle.
"me too bronny, thank you for everything" i told him with a smile.

we turned to face the sky, when we heard people counting.

"5!"
"4!"
"3!"
"2!"
"1!"
"HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!!"

on cue, bronny pulled me to him and he pressed his lips onto mine. i immediately kissed back as i smile within the kiss. i was going to pull away, only for him to pull me closer and we both chuckled within the kiss.

"happy new year guys oh-" i heard shaquir say.

"gET IT BRONNY !" i heard his friends cheered.  he pulled away and looked into my eyes.

"happy new year, y/n" he told me with a smile.

"happy new year, bronny"
