Blue hair and studs (a GaLe Fairytail Fanfiction.)

Rain

The train ride took forever. It was 2:00 once we got to our stop. I hopped off, with Gajeel behind me. For some reason Panther- Lily didn't come. He said he had something important to do. A tall man with a blonde braid walked up to us, eyeing our marks.

"Would you happen to be Fairytail?" He asked looking down at us. We nodded and he smiled.

"I have prepared a ride that'll take you to the cave." He lead us to a large carriage that looked big enough for 5 people. I laughed quietly. The man paused and looked at me.

"Is there a problem?" He asked, raising a blonde eyebrow. I curled my toes and shook my head. He nodded firmly and opened the door. I climbed into it an slid furthest away from the door. Gajeel sat across from me and as he sat down he shook the carriage. The man slammed the door and the carriage was rolling and bumping its way across the dirt road. I leaned back against the carriage and tucked my feet under myself. Feeling a warm presence on my cheek, I turned and saw Gajeel staring at me. I blushed deeply and chewed on my bottom lip.

"H-hey." I said quietly. Gajeel didn't say anything for a moment but then snapped out of whatever was holding him and he blinked.

"What? Oh..hey." He said, and smiled sheepishly. I giggled and gently tugged at the ribbon in my hair. A awkward silence swirled around the carriage and I looked out the window, adverting my eyes from Gajeel. There was awkward tension between us, and we both knew it. I smoothed out my dress and a sudden thought came to my mind. Right now, in this moment I could confess to him. I tugged at the part of my head band again. But... It'll probably go horrible and I'll regret it for the rest of my life. I shook my head. 

"No no nevermind that idea." I quietly say. 

"Nevermind what?" Gajeel asks from across me. I jump, momentairily forgetting he's here. 

"W-what? Oh... no nothing." I smile nervously and blush. 

"If you say so Shrimp." He shoots me an unsure look, but brushes it off. I take a deep breath. Phew. The carriage comes to a halt and a loud smacking sound comes from the front, where the driver is. My eyes widen in shock. 

"Hey, driver! Did something happen?" Gajeel yells. A heavy object plops onto the ground and suddenly an arrow shoots through the carriage landing at least two inches away from my head. I scream and roll over, leaning against the side. A knife is stabbed through the thin material and scrapes my right side. Gasping with pain and shock, I fall forwad and scootch to Gajeel. 

"O-ow..." I lie down on the ground and curl up, wrapping my arms around my knees.

"S-shrimp---I mean Levy! Are you okay?" Gajeel jumps to his feet, rocking the carrige back and forth. I shake my head and touch my side, then bringing them back seeing blood covering my hand. 

"Damn it... okay... you stay here I'm going to see whats going on." He grunts and swings open the door. "And be quiet." He adds before disappering and the door swings shut in my face. Another arrow shoots through the carriage and I shreik because it lands right next to me, pinning the fabric of my dress to the floor board. Three more come shooting in, dowing the same and then a fourth which scrapes my cheek, blood spraying across the face. My body trembles in fear. 

"Iron fist of the Iron Dragon!" I hear Gajeel roar, and it sounds like he's miles away. I squirm around until my dress rips and I knock the arrows aside. I am NOT a helpless baby! I sit up and then kick the door open. 

"Solid Scrip Fire!" I whisper loudly and throw it behind the carriage, where a man is hiding. (omg 'Fire' by Sleeping with Sirens is playing now xD.)  He screams loudly and runs away, his clothes buring. I smile proudly to myself when suddenly large arms lock around my throat, strangling me. I scream and try to wiggle free, but the arms just tighten. 

"LET GO OF ME!" I yell loud enough for Gajeel to hear and turn around. His face darkens and he runs quickly toward me. 

"Let. Go. Of. Her. NOW." He hisses and punches my captor in the face. The person stumbles back, then loses their footing and I go down with them. The ground hits me with lots of force, my breath floating away. I wriggle out of their arms and roll over, gasping for air. 

"Shrimp...are you okay?" He asks and bends down, picking me up. I nod weakly and hop down from his arms, turning to look at the unconcious body on the ground. Its a woman with a dark pink braid and shaggy bangs. She's wearing a black vest and a white skirt with boots. 

"Does... she... look familar?" I pant, crisp air filling my lungs. Gajeel shakes his head, when suddenly a large clap of thunder and lighting is above us and its large droplets of cold water is raining down on us. I wince but hold the pain in as the water cools down my throbbing, bloody gashes. Gajeel sees the 'scrapes' and grits his teeth. 

"Damn theifs.... but are you okay?" He askes me. I nod but move closer to him, wanting his arms to wrap around me and comfort me, but I shake the thoughts away. Suddenly the carraige bursts into flames and I yelp in shock. 

"GAH!" I stumble backwards. Gajeel groans loudly. 

"Well, looks like our transportation service is gone." He chuckles. I sigh loudly. The rain contiues to heavily fall down on us and my clothes become soaking wet, my blue hair sticking together. After about ten or fifteen minutes I feel Gajeel come up behind me and place a hand on my head. 

"We... we should go find a place to rest. But seeing that we're in the middle of nowhere, maybe we can find that cave, or a cave." Gajeel grunts, looking around. I tlit my head back and giggle, making him look down at me, a slight blush on his cheeks. 

"W-what?" He asks. I shake my head and stand upright. 

"Lets go." I manage to make at least two steps before a searing pain shoots through my side and I collapse. 

"Levy!" Gajeel exclaims and runs to my side, a worried look on his face. I gently push him away as he tries to pick me up. 

"I-I can manage and walk.'" I give him a small smile and attempt to get up, but then just fall right back down, but this time into his arms.  My face immedialy heats up and he pulls me against his chest. 

"Seeing as you are NOT fine, I'm going to carry you." He chuckles. I glare at him and look up at the sky as we begin moving forward. The rain is stinging my cuts, but at the same time it feels good and then suddenly the rain stops and it gets dark out and a cool burst of air hits me. I realize we found a cave.

"We'll just stay in here, mmkay?" Gajeel ducks down and places me gently on the ground. I scramble away from him and lean my back against a wall in the cave, closing my eyes and sighing loudly. Suddenly a loud crack of lightning hits a nearby tree and I squeal. Gajeel chuckles and scoots over to me. I blush and wrap my arms around my knees and place my head on the top of them, shivering. Gajeel must have noticed me, so with a crimson face and puts his arms around me and shoves me into his side. I bite my bottom lip, giggling quielty and snuggle deeper into his arms that radiate comfortable warmth and close my eyes. My breathing slows down and soon, I'm asleep. 

(GAHHHH IM SO SORRY I HAVEN'T UPDATED THIS IN FOUR MONTHS *hides face shamefully* I did this pretty short-sorry- because I have to go to school, but at least its up! I promise the next chapter will be up next week or in  a few days xD. Anyways I have to dash so bye!)
