Courtney's POV

I walk into work as normal as I can. Shayne wasn't there yet, thankfully. I'm praying he takes a day off work. Everyone's acting normal, thank fuck, and seeing as it's a day full of shoots, everyone is hurrying around trying to stay on top of things. Luckily, no one has asked me about last night, but no one has come forward yet. I assume it was Tommy, Sarah, Matt, Ian, Anthony and maybe Spencer. The squad and I are stood in the centre of the office when Ian and Anthony rush out of their office with grim looks on their face. I cleaned up Shayne's blood so it can't be that.

"Have any of you guys seen Shayne?" Ian asks the room.

"I haven't seen him since yesterday!" Noah and Keith say in unison. They look at each other and giggle.

"Neither have I, how about you Court?" Olivia questions, spinning round.

"Nope." I say, barely keeping in the tears.

"Well...shit!" Ian sighs, looking at Anthony who is studying something on his phone.

"What's going on?" Noah says, clearly scared, grabbing on to Olivia's shoulder, who is also trembling in fear.

"He sent both me and Ian this text," Anthony says, coughing to clear his throat," I can't do this anymore. Not when she's here. It sounds like I hate her, but it's actually the opposite. She won't talk to me when I've opened up to her. I don't think I'll be coming back. Also, I took one of your pencil sharpeners. Please don't tell Court. Sorry..."

I have tears in my eyes. Keith notices and puts his arm around me.

"So, your 'genius' plan to get them to talk drove him away!" Noah said, accusatorily, throwing his arms up in contempt.

"We didn't know it would backfire like this!" Ian says, raising his voice slightly.

"Yeah! And it wasn't just our idea, Matt came up with it first!" Anthony says, moving forward slightly.

"Hey, don't raise your voice at Noah or any of us," Keith pipes up, unwrapping his arm from my shoulder and moving next to Noah.

"Don't tell us what to do, we are your bosses!" Ian defends himself, and Anthony. Noah, Keith and Ian descend into an argument about Shayne. Olivia and Anthony try to stop them but fail. I don't know what to do. It was like I was the only one there. I felt so alone, like I couldn't reach out to my friends. I slump to the floor and bring my knees to my chest. I don't even cry, I just sit there staring. My eyes are hazy with tears but they don't spill down my cheeks. They continue to argue for a few minutes until Anthony sees me.

"Hey! Guys...SHUT IT!" he yells, taking a step towards me," look at Court."

They all whip around to face me and Olivia sits down next to me and apologises.

"Court, do you know what this note means?" Anthony asked, gently.

"Uh, well it means he's left his dream job because of me, I can tell you that for sure!" I say, choking on sobs. Olivia strokes my hair and tries to calm me down.

"Do you know what he meant by pencil sharpener?" Ian asks. At this point, I freeze. I'm taken back to last night, blood everywhere all because of me.

"Court? Are you ok?" Keith questions sitting in front of me. They all sit in a circle type thing around me.

"No..." I whisper.

"Do you know what he meant, I'm sorry if we're pressuring you at all," Noah repeats Ian's question.

"Err, yeah. So, Shayne had just told me he's in love with me and I didn't know what to say so he walked away. I didn't know where he went. I fell asleep and when I woke up I went to look for him. He was in your guys' office," I explain, gesturing to Ian and Anthony, then taking a deep breath I continue," There was blood...on the desk and all down his arm...he was cutting himself with the blade of a pencil sharpener." This caused everyone to gasp, and tears were streaming down my face.

"It's okay if you need a few minutes, we understand this is hard for you," Olivia says, side hugging me.

"No. You need to know this, I shouldn't have left it this late. We talked for a few minutes and I told him he had no reason to be doing that. He said he did, I asked what and he said me...he was self harming because of me! I eventually got it off of him and ran as far as I could. I had dropped it somewhere, but I'd been all over the office so I didn't think he would have found it. But I guess...he did. This is all my fault!" I sob, burying my face in my hands. They let me sit and cry for a few minutes before bringing me back to reality.

"Courtney, just breathe, everything is gonna be ok, we're gonna find him, I know we are," Olivia whispers into my ear, her and Noah hugging me from either side. Finally, I lift my head up and Ian and Anthony are talking to Ryan.

"Ok, Ryan has agreed to hold on all shoots for two days, so we can look for Shayne and get him to come back," Anthony explains. Just his name makes me shiver.

"So, should we check his apartment first?" Keith asks, rising from the floor. Me and Olivia start to get up as well.

"Yes, that's probably the most logical thing to do," Noah answers, pushing his glasses up his nose.

"Even in times like these, you still manage to sound like a 6th grade dork," Keith joked, grabbing Noah's glasses and making him run around the room for them.

"Are you sure you're ok?" Olivia asked me, pulling me away from the mess that was Keith and Noah.

"Honestly, no. But I know now that I love him, so I'm stopping at nothing until I can tell him." I say. Olivia hugs me and as she pulls away, Noah and Keith jog back to us and we all head out to the parking lot. Olivia got in the passenger seat of my car, me in the driver's duh, and Keith and Noah in the back. Ian and Anthony decide to take Ian's car. We drive to Shayne's place and the three of them chat, while I sit in silence, using the fact that I'm driving as an excuse not to talk. Right now, I don't want my friends, I need him. We pull up in the parking lot and a few seconds later Ian's car pulls up too. We all jump out and dart to the elevator.

"What floor is he on?" Anthony asked.

"2, apartment E." I say, quick to reply.

"So, you've been here a lot, I see..." Ian smirks, eyeing me up and down.

"Shut up dad!" Olivia laughs, placing a hand on my shoulder. The doors ding and open. I bolt down the hall straight to his door. I knew the path well. The others catch up with me just as I knock softly on the door. Keith moves me aside and pounds on the door so loud I hear a baby further down the hall start to cry.

"Keith, careful," Noah whines, giving him a look. One minute...two minutes...three minutes. Nothing. I spin my self around and slide down the wall, descending into tears. Olivia starts to bend down but I just tell her no. I need to be alone. But I need to be with him. If only I had told him how much I love him.

So, another chapter wa-hey! This one could've been better, but I want to finish soon, probably around chapter 10 or 12, so I can get on with writing another fanfic - Shourtney also. Thank you so much for reading, vote or comment if you like, any form of support is appreciated! Thanks!
