It hadn't been easy, but you'd been caught up on what you missed. Thankfully your processor hadn't suffered to much damage but your mind was delicate. Ratchet put you on strict bedrest making you angsty. Maybe you had been this sweet caring bot last time they'd seen you but right now you had the memories and feelings of a wrecker and wreckers don't wait patiently. You wanted to crush Megatrons helm in your servos and watch as his optics dimmed out. That glitch had used you, manipulated you, melded your processor to his sick twisted needs.
You paced the med-bay trying to think of what you could tell Ratchet to make him release you. You respected and valued the old mechs skills but you hated this. Hated not being able to do anything. You had the knowledge of a medic but you were to undisciplined to unpredictable. Energon from a dying mech, one depending on you made you flinch, you wanted to help but... you couldn't. Not in that way. Right now you were a warrior and as a warrior you needed something to do. Something to fight or plan or strategize. And yet you felt guilty. Everything you did made you feel like a waste of space, everything you tried to accomplish so far had failed spectacularly. You wish they'd stop giving you energon. Wish they'd let you go. But you knew your friends and you knew they wouldn't do that.Sighing you close your optics. You were on strict rules to be kept in base. Well fine you'd stay in bae but you were going to explore. Pushing yourself off the medical slab you shift your creaky pistons and notice their well kept and maintained. You notice your paintjob wasn't as dented as usual either and there wasn't a scratch in sight. Man you didn't just feel different you looked different. Mumbling to yourself about not going soft Ratchet watched you leave the medbay with heavy optics. Seeing you weren't going for the exit his shoulders relaxed and he let you wander.
"This was an government center huh?" Poking your head into a room you notice the primitive computers taking up half a room and snort. Organics. Always an entertaining bunch.
"Who ya talking too?" Jumping in surprise you watch as an organic falls on their butt from the heavy impact. You pause before letting out a deep chuckle.
"Oh sorry. Didn't see you there." Holding out a digit you help the fleshy thing stand. Crouching down you observe them curious. "Don't you know your not supposed to surprise a wrecker?" You question them before tussling their hair. They chuckle and dodge your digit with a laugh.
"The names Miko! And I am a wrecker!" The organic proudly proclaims. You snort smiling half heartedly at her proclamation.
"Well I'm (Y/N). A former wrecker." That sentence felt twisted on your tongue. Wrong somehow but you knew it was true. You were a wrecker. "So what are you? We don't have an investation do we?" You tease gently poking them. They laugh bright pink hair bouncing as they do. Prime had gone over that the base sometimes had organics in it that were friendly and he told you to watch where you stepped but so far you hadn't seen any.
"I'm not a pest! I'm a human!" She shouts. Smiling you open your palm for the "human" to walk onto.
"Well human how bout you give me a tour?" Miko smiled and hopped on your servo clearly used to the other bots picking her up.
"Awesome! I can show you where us wreckers wreck stuff!" Smiling up at you you smile back. Standing up slowly you made sure not to elevate her too quickly. Seeing she looked fine you placed her on your shoulder strut.
"Alright Wrecker Miko, lead the way." Smirking the small human cheers as she points to where you'd just looked into.
"That used to be some sort of spy center!" She chirps. "Fowler says during the Cold War this base was used to intercept messages from Russia about nukes. They also tested out highly classified new weapons here. Those computers used to pop out all sorts of jargon and messages. There's boxes and boxes of undeciphered code." You hum curious. You weren't sure who this Fowler was, another human you assumed or what the Cold War was but by the looks of it the technology was old and outdatted left to rust. This "war" must have happened awhile ago. "Anyways that's all boring stuff let's show you some cool stuff!" Miko says excited. Chuckling you nod and let her drag you around.
She showed you the energon reserve which was thankfully high. Glancing at the bright blue cubes you closed the door and moved on. Next Miko lead you to the training area.
"This is where Bulkhead beefs up!" She praises. "He uses that wrecking ball as a punching bag! Oh and Fowler gave the bots 1,000 5,000 and 10,000 pound concrete slabs to use for weights! We also have a Bluetooth sound system here so the bots can play music as they work out! It's pretty chill!" Miko states excited. You hum and walking in look at all the stuff. You'd have to mark this place in your processor for later. "Oh oh oh and next door in what used to be an airplane hanger we have our lob ball court! Bumblebee and Bulkhead crush at that game!" She cheers.
"Oh really? I haven't lob balled in stellar cycles but I bet I could still beat Bulky at a match." You chuckle. Mikos eyes light up as she looks at you.
"How long have you known Bulkhead?" Miko questions as you poke your head into the lob ball room.
"Ahhhh what do you humans call it? A couple thousand years maybe?" You suggest before continuing to walk.
"Woah! Your ancient!" Miko says in awe. You smile at the small organic and ruffle her hair making her whine.
"I'm not that old." You respond optics glowing in happiness. "So what else do we have in this good ol base of ours?"
"Well down the right hall is everybody's rooms." Miko explains pointing in that general direction. "The left hall is much more exciting."
"Left hall it is." Going left Miko shows you the Relic room, the weapons room, and some empty storage spaces that sometimes have intresting things hidden away. Glad to give your legs a little stretch and make a new friend Miko and you chat as you walk back to the main space.
"Oh Hey Bulky!" Miko greets. Looking up at Bulkhead you watch as he blushes embarassed making you giggle.
"(Y/N) why would you tell Miko about that?" He whines. You chuckle and holding out your servo Miko jumps into it.
"Because this cute lil wrecker here is a badalt and so are you." Pecking his facial plate ignoring the ewww from Miko you hand the human over to her designated guardian. "I'm gonna take a nap but it was good seeing you Bulky!" Waving backwards as you walk away Bulkhead stutters a,
"Y-yeah you too!" Smiling you plop down on the medical slab and close your optics to power down. Things were finally looking up on this rock.
