Most of what I write is going to be in character, make sure you keep note of that because it's in an odd character's perspective. Writing that looks like this will be out of character, but I'll mostly be writing it like an actual story.

In an instant, the whole world appeared in front of me for the first time in what seemed a long time, I knew that we had only been taking a long rest, which normally is about 8 hours, but it felt like so much more than that. I took my book from my bag, and checked in it. I quietly whispered the words to myself to make sure I didn't misread anything wrong, like I do in real life. "No." I thought, "I'm supposed to act like I don't know."

I looked over at my partner, who was lying on their back, arms straight beside them, and their companion, curled up in a giant mechanic ball. Both were sleeping.

"For anyone that may or may not be listening right now, I know what's going on. I know this is all a game, my character sheet says so. I keep it in my bag. My name is Rolling Stone, I'm a Warforged Cleric of the Forge Domain. My pal over there, is Ku, pronounced (k-oo). Ku is Ku. There is no other description other than a healing tank with a pet tank. Speaking of which, that there, is a guardian, whom goes by 'Wolf'. I should let you know that my character breaks Meta Game constantly, and Ku is a... Stone Gnome??

"Well, something like that. Ku doesn't know about Meta Game, I'm the only one. You'll find out the rest as we go along." When I finished explaining as much as I could, Ku woke up, along with Wolf, but they seemed to not realize how long we were really asleep. We were near a place called Cragmaw Castle. We decided to go through the front opening, seeing that the door itself was already bashed in and lying in a heap of rubble on the floor.

As we were walking, I misplaced my foot and slipped, nearly landing on my face. Being made of metal didn't work out so well, it seemed, as we heard shouting from nearby rooms, but we couldn't really see. Ku and Wolf looked at me, and if I could see their expressions, I knew they would likely be scolding me. "Don't blame me. It was a bad roll." Before Ku could say something, four arrows came out of the walls, one of them hitting me in a weak spot in my armored skin, doing just a little bit of damage.

We ran inside, and we're met by quite a few enemies, it seemed that there were a few goblins North of us, which I was closest to, and a little bit more hobgoblins South of us, nearest to Wolf. I tried to cast a spell, but my attempt was futile, it seemed it wasn't my turn yet. I watched as Ku drew a kunai (knife) and threw it in one swift motion. The knife hit one of the Goblins at the South end of the room, embedding itself right in it's knee.

Ku and I looked at each other, and Ku said "I was once an adventurer like you..." I attempted to finish the quote but was laughing too hard. When I finished laughing, I saw that Wolf had walked up to one of the Goblins and smacked it in the face, knocking it out cold since Wolf's hands are the size of the Goblin's head and made of metal. The Goblins, infuriated, attempted to strike at Wolf with their scimitars, and one of the remaining Goblins miss whilst the last Goblin of the group strikes Wolf in his ribs.

Thankfully, the attack didn't hurt Wolf too badly as Wolf stood Wolf's ground.

I am going to be using no pronouns for Wolf or Ku, as my friend didn't say anything about it and it became a thing for the characters.

The (four, I counted by then) Hobgoblins in the north side all shot at me with their Longbows. Only one of the attacks hit me, directly in my chest, hurting me quite a deal. I attacked back with one of my spells, hitting one of the Hobgoblins in its entire chest. The Hobgoblin's deceased body began to glow as it tumbled to the ground.

Ku knew that I had finished when I nodded at Ku. Ku threw another kunai at the same Goblin as Ku did earlier, hitting the Goblin in the other knee. The Goblin couldn't stand anymore, and fell forward, blacking out from the pain.

The three remaining Hobgoblins all shot at me again, missing once more. I attempted to cast the same spell as before, on a different Goblin, 'Guiding Bolt'. The spell would have made it a lot easier to hit the same target, but I don't want to beat a dead horse.

The Goblin that I casted Guiding Bolt on saw it coming though, and timed it just right to do a matrix dodge to avoid getting hit. I stared it in both amazement and disappointment, the disappointment part being in myself. Ku tried to throw a knife at the same Goblin, but it dodged the attack same as me, just uh, not as impressive, of course..

Wolf was sick and tired of all the ranged attacks and tried walked over to the three Hobgoblins, Wolf backhanded a different Hobgoblin, knocking it unconscious.

Ik I didn't say it, but when this was all happening I was both playing as my character and dming. And if you have any questions or tips with characters or how I did with it, please be brutally honest. I meant to continue and keep going because there was a bit more that I was wanting to write, but I'm afraid that I won't be able to write in the mix of everything, including my family moving. I am hoping that I will be able to call my friends to have more sessions or maybe have some sessions with new people after the move. Remember everyone, stay safe, have fun, and stay positive!

P.S. I am going to try and record our sessions when we have them, and have them at the top of the chapter each time
