Chapter 9

"Lizzy, I love you."

My heart started beating like a fast drum and I couldnt stop it either. He loves me. does he really love me? Or is this just because he feels sorry? Should I tell him how I really feel or keep my mouth shut? All these thoughts were spinning in my head like a tornado, spinning and all of them about to fly out of my mouth. I didnt know what to say so Im gonna say something, anything other than I love him.

"Hayes, You have no idea how much I love you back>" I said to Hayes. Oops, that wasnt suppost to come out. Oh geez, what have I done. Hayes and I just stood there in eachothers arms and we were touching. Close enough i hoped he couldnt see what I was thinking of. I was thinking that I said the wrong thing, put myself out there more than I shouldve. He doesnt love me. He could never love me. Im probably just his backup girl. Why am I thinking this? God! Im so stupid. He would never do anything to hurt me and I wouldnt either. Hayes really loves me. He really does. Or he really doesnt. Ugh.

"Hayes," I said looking at the tall buildings from above, then back at him, "do you really love me?"

"LIzzy, of course I do. Why would I say those 3 words if I didnt?" Hayes asked.

"I dont kow, I just never thought." I said slowing down and cutting myself off.

"Never thought what?" Hayes asked softly grabbing my chin and making me look into his ice blue eyes.

"That this would happen to us after everything that happened. And, i never ever thought you would love me. You have no idea how many times ive dreamed about this, about us, about us together. And now its happening and its hard to believe that me and you are standing right here so close that we feel eachothers body heat coming off of eachother. And we are different, very different. Your at the top of the everyhting and well, im at the bottom, the hard rock bottom. I just cant belive that we are here and you just said you loved me an-" Hayes cut me off by grabbing my waist and kissing me aggresively but still passionately.

"Elizabeth. I love you." He whispered in my ear, then put his nose on my nose and stared into my eyes.

"God, I love you." I said as i put my lips on Hayes'. Our kiss lasted for 5 minuites thrn we got interupted. We went to the table and sat down across from eachother.

"Um, hi im taylor and im going to be your server tonight. How are you guys doing?" She asked as she pulled out her yellow notepad.

"Great, thank you." Hayes and I said.

She asked what we wanted to drink and we answered. I got sweet tea and Hayes got rutebeer. The waitress opened the door to go back inside and went to the elevator.

"Is this beautiful or what?" Hayes said looking around with a huge smile on his face.

"Yes, it is really really pretty. Thank you Hayes." I said.
