"Town Z up ahead." Yugyeom says, turning his head towards the boys behind him, a smile evident on his face.Jaebum's heart ached. He looked away from Youngjae and placed his hands on the metal back of the aircraft, trying to lift himself up.
After a few seconds of wobbling, he was able to stand up properly. With shaky legs, he walks over to Yugyeom and holds onto his seat for support.
With wide eyes, he looks over his home town with longing. The sun's rays displayed orange and pink colors against the blue and green roof tops of small homes. He could see small bodies the size of ants running around on the hills and streets.
After finding where in town his eyes laid, he drifted them up a familiar road and followed it up a hill. There a small humble home laid, clothing lines attached to its sides and a small pond in the backyard.
"Thats your home right?" Youngjae asks, now standing beside the older. He could see Jaebum's eyes get teary, his nose turning red from the wind and the wave of emotion.
Jaebum simply nods. He brings his hands up to wipe his eyes, a weak chuckle leaving his mouth soon after. "Why are we here? Are you taking me home?" he asks desperate, turning his head to Youngjae with a dejected look.
Youngjae bit his lip harshly, his heart slamming against his rib cage in a fast pace. Not knowing what to say, he simply shook his head.
Jaebum smiles knowingly, nods his head slowly before turning it to look straight ahead. "So, where are we going?" he askes, his tone changing back to normal.
Youngjae stunned with the sudden change, mouth agape, stuttered on words trying to find what to say. Yugyeom filled in for him instead, "The beach. That's how we'll be leaving."
Jaebum furrowed his eyebrows in thought, conflicted with the small details he had been given, he looks at Youngjae with determined eyes. "Why me?"
The sun set displayed nice colors on Jaebum's tan skin, and his dark hair wavering in the wind didn't help with the racing of Youngjae's heart. He looks unreal.
"You'll see." Youngjae smiles, patting Jaebum's muscular arm with unsure reassurance.
After a couple minutes of comfortable silence, Yugyeom pulled a lever and the aircraft started to slow down. Jaebum could see the beach from above, its white sand now a pink, which matched with the sky.
"Alright- hold on." Yugyeom giggled, Youngjae grabbed ahold of Jaebum's arm and squeezed tight. Jaebum, confused like always, furrowed his eyebrows and looked at the boys in worry. "Wha-"
The aircraft completely stopped and began to fall at a fast pace. Both Yugyeom and Youngjae laugh as they fall with it, the air hitting their bodies at a high speed.
Jaebum screams, the loudest he has ever screamed. He watches as the ground grows closer, adrenaline and fear filling his body.
He holds onto Youngjae's arm tightly as they plummeted further down. When they got too close to the ground, he quickly shut his eyes and mouth as he prepared for impact.
As he thought, they stopped falling. But what surprised him, was that they never made impact with anything. Opening one of his eyes slowly, he could see the sandy shores a few feet below him.
They were floating.
The boys beside him laughing hard, Yugyeom muttering something about Jaebum's face and Youngjae laughing too hard to even say anything.
The aircraft and the boys drift slowly to the ground. Jaebum let go of Youngjae's arm harshly, his eyebrows furrowing as he crosses
his arms protectively over his chest."Thanks guys." He mutters out as his feet touch the sand. They continued to laugh, even after they had reached the ground. Yugyeom kneeled down and held his stomach as Youngjae leaned back to open his mouth wider.
"It's really funny. Really." Jaebum states sarcastically. Now that they're distracted, I should probably run.
But he didn't. He just stood there kicking at the sand, waiting for the boys to stop laughing. After a few minutes, they did. Though a few giggles would get out, they quickly sat up and dusted themselves off.
The sun had set completely, and the stars began to come out. The laughter soon died off, and a seriousness filled the air around them. Watching as the boys gave each other a look, he noticed Youngjae had out a device in which he's never seen before.
Appeared outta no where...
It was the size of a small ball, and it lit up the night around them with its white light. "Yesss, Youngjae?" A voice came from it, a young male most likely. "I need you to open the exit for us, and send us two wharls." Youngjae states calmly, looking at Jaebum with watchful eyes as the boy kicks sand around.
The fuck are wharls?
"Is Jaebum there?" The voice asks, making Jaebum look up in surprise. "Yes, yes. Now hurry, we don't want any blues showing up." Youngjae rushes, he moves his arm down and the ball of light disappears.
"Why does everyone know my name? Who even was that?" Jaebum asks, walking up to Youngjae with hope for some more information. He was tired of just letting things happen, he still doesn't know anything.
"And what the fuck are wharls?" He spat, getting irritated now. Youngjae's eyes opens wide at the new attitude, but they quickly adjust into a sympathetic look. "The dreams, me, everything happened for a reason. You're the only one who can see us, the only one who can save us." Youngjae says lowly. Jaebum opens his mouth to protest, but the sound of rushing water interrupts him.
He looks over to the water to see two large fish poking their heads out of the waves, the size of whales. They had large lips, large green eyes and purple scales which changed colors in the moon's light. They also had white and red paint plastered on their faces, a white mustache on one fish and red angry eye brows on the other.
"Now I know he's gotta he joking." Yugyeom laughed, walking over to the fish with squinted eyes. "These are the best ones I've seen yet!" He walks into the water, getting his black slacks wet in the process, and quickly climbs onto the fish with the mustache.
Youngjae grabs Jaebum's hand, and walks over to the other fish. Jaebum didn't even try to pull away, he was getting quite used to Youngjae's touchiness. They both climb onto the fish, Jaebum struggling at first.
"So now what?" Jaebum mumbles unenthusiastically, he was still irritated with he half answers from before.
"We go home." Youngjae whispers, smiling at him childishly. Jaebum rolls his eyes and turns his body away from the boy.
The fish swim away from the beach, and after a few seconds of swimming, the island disappears completely. Jaebum doesn't question it, he doesn't want to question anything anymore knowing he won't be answered.
Laying down on the fish's back, he closes his eyes and sighs out of his nose. "I'm going to sleep. Wake me up when we get "home"." He mumbles lowly, a pinch of sarcasm in his tone.
Youngjae simply smiles.
