June has been in the music industry since age 17, now 24 she's learnt a lot in those 7 years, especially how good and shitty people can be. Being in the spotlight comes trouble at times, June went through an ugly breakup with her ex-Liam, their relationship started with a strong emotional connection but ended up becoming toxic, controlling and abusive. Even months after the breakup Liam continues to blame June on his disintegrating career although it never really took off after he went solo.
June came from a fairly problematic background, enduring a lot of trauma from her childhood. She grew up in a very low-income household in Kentucky where her mom wouldn't be home a lot due to her having to work a lot. She hid a lot of her emotions, her relationship with her mom was nearly non-existent...her dad was even worse choosing his ex-wife over his own daughter, he would leave June to be abused as a child and wouldn't do anything to stop it. Once June received her first check from the beginning of her career, she left to become her own support system, which is what she had already done in the first place.
The friend group originally met separately, however they conveniently kept seeing each other during events and eventually became one. This started 5 years ago, since the pandemic they haven't had a chance to really get together, so they decide to meet up for the Coachella festival.
