"New house, new school, new start. Good morning Ashley." My mom said as she woke me up. I sighed as I sat up in my bed.

"Good morning mom. Are you sure I have to go?" I asked. She laughed and sat at the end of my bed.

"Ashley I know at your old school you had problems. I Know it was hard. But you have to try. You have to try to be better. They were mean. It's a new place. No one knows who Ashley  is. You're beautiful and sweet and caring. Show them who you are. Make some friends. Make it count. It'll be okay Ashley. Now get up. We'll leave at 7:30. Get ready." She said and left. I got up and did my makeup, hair, and all that stuff. I got ready for the day and grabbed my keys and my bag. We left and headed to my new school. I'm absolutely terrified. I don't know where anything is or who anyone is. This is going to suck. We pulled up to the school parking lot.

"Okay. This is where you go. Have fun. Make friends. Ask for help. I love you Ashley. Have an amazing day." My mom said. I faked a smile and grabbed my bag as I told her I love her and to have a good day and left. I walked up to the school and took a deep breath. There's a bunch of kids messing around in the yard out in the front of the school. Everyone was hanging out with their friend groups. I walked into the school and looked around. There were so many people. I looked around at the signs in the hallway saying what hallway it is. My first class is in K hall. I looked for the sign that said K. A lot of kids are already messing around in the halls with groups of friends and being loud. I finally got to my class and the teacher greeted me at the door. She showed me my seat and gave me the supplies I would need and talked me through class. After an hour and a half later, the bell finally rung. I was supposed to go to A hall. I started walking to the class and a tall guy bumped into me, pushing me and my stuff on the ground against the lockers. Why did I think it would be better? Why was I hopeful?

"Watch where you're going new girl. Ugly ass bitch." He said kicking me then walking off. I was good at holding in tears at school so I just sat there. Then a tall, cute guy walked to me.

"I see you've met Matt. He does that to everyone. It's not your fault." He said and held his hand out. "Need help up?"

"Yeah. Thanks." I said taking his hand and picking my stuff up.

"Yeah no problem. I've been there before. I'm still there. I'm Parker by the way." He said. I smiled.

"I'm Ashley but my friends call me Ash. Well, they would if i had any. Um you don't have to call me Ashley or Ash it's whatever's easier for you. I'm sorry." I said. I talk a lot when I'm kind of nervous. He smiled and looked at me.

"Ash. Like fire?" He asked. I smiled.

"Yeah. Like fire." I said. He laughed a little.

"Where are you going Ash like fire?" He asked me. I smiled and looked down at my schedule.

"Um, A 16. What about you?" I asked.

"Same. I'll walk you there since I'm going there too. Did you just move to red lodge?" He asked.

"Yeah. Shit went down at my old school in my old town and so my mom and I left. So here I am." I said he smiled.

"I'm sorry things happened but I'm glad you're here now. We're here. Welcome to theater in A 16. You'll love it." He said and we walked into the class. During the class, he ended up giving me his number and I gave him mine. We went through the day texting each other. When lunch finally arrived, he texted me telling me to meet him in the hallway outside the cafeteria. I left my class and went straight there.

"Hey. Where's your lunch?" He asked as I sat next to him.

"Oh. I don't really eat lunch." I said. He frowned.
