Everything sucked.
First day of senior year and I was already into some major drama. It's not everyday that you expect to find a fellow student having an affair with the principal. "I'm leaving to print out some exam papers, I'll be just down the hall, so no talking." Miss Willis warned us, death-staring us before exiting the room. I shifted around in the uncomfortable silence. I could feel Finn's eyes on me.

"Isn't that Sadie's bestfriend?" Sophia asked, raising a brow. Lila's face lit up with an evil grin.
"Indeed it is..." Lila grinned, resting her chin in her hand. Millie stood in her window, tears rolling down her cheeks. She was frantically messaging her bestfriend. "Oh, this is perfect. I'm going to ruin you, Sink." Lila opened the car door and approached Millie's front door. She knocked on her front door and her mom opened it slightly. "Hi, Mrs... Brown. I'm here for Millie, I wanna know if she wants to hang out."
"Of course, she's just in her room, just down the hall." Mrs Brown pointed in the direction of Millie's bedroom. With a smile, Lila entered.

Finally, detention was over. I was surprised to see that my mom wasn't waiting for me outside. I pulled out my phone to ask where she was. 5 missed calls, 6 unread messages. Shit.

I'm here come out now
Where are you??
If you don't come out in 2 minutes I'm leaving

Great, just great. I began my long expedition home.

It was now dark outside, 'So many creepy old men... gross.' I thought to myself as I held my bag tighter to chest, there was no way I was getting robbed tonight. "Working the streets now?" A voice startled me, I turned around to meet the eyes of Finn Wolfhard in his fancy car as he pulled up to the curb.
"What's it to you?" I spat.
"Get in."
"What?"
"Get in. I'm going to give you a ride home."
"Gross, no thanks." I retorted.
"Fine, walk home, I'll see you in about a week." He shrugged, winding up his window. I watched for a few seconds before I regretted my decision. I rolled my eyes.
"Wait! Give me a ride home then." I said.
"Knew you'd give in eventually." he chuckled
"Whatever."

"She really said those things about me?" Millie sighed, looking out of her window, "I really thought she was my bestfriend."
"Well, duh! She's evil! That's what evil people do, they betray their bestfriends. You know what else she said about you, she said that your foundation looks like you've been matched by a monkey! Obviously she said that, not me. I'm here for you, Mollie." Lila said, resting a hand on Millie's shoulder
"Actually.. it's Millie." Millie replied, raising a brow."
"Whatever, same thing. Anyway girl, I'll see you later! And watch out for Sadie, she'sbad news."
