"Laila... I worked for Ganondorf..."
"I'm well aware of that. And I worked for Midna under the guise of a servant."
The birds chirping stilled Link from his sleep. His eyes fluttered open, a yell escaping his lips as he realized (Y/N) was very close to his face. It most certainly happened while the two of them were asleep, but for some odd reason it felt comforting.
After his yell the teenage girl opened her eyes, confusion spread through her (e/c) orbs as she searched Link's face.
"A-Ah... what's wrong? Did something happen?" She questioned, the scepter that she slept with falling out of her grip and on to the floor.
Link sat up, rubbing the back of his neck. "No... I apologise for yelling like that. I just... wasn't expecting to see your face so close to mine."
A giggle escaped (Y/N)'s lips as she scooped the fallen scepter off the ground before getting off the bed entirely.
Link blinked, staring after her frame as the black haired girl walked away to try and locate the bathroom.
The hero glanced down at his wrist once more, feeling it burn underneath where his piece of the Triforce laid.
It was no secret, Princess Zelda held the second piece of the Triforce - and the third belonged to Ganondorf.
No matter how many reincarnations, Link was always the hero - and always held a piece of the Triforce.
His gaze shifted upwards as the door opened, revealing (Y/N) in an entirely different outfit.
The outfit she wore consisted of a pearly white blouse, grey diamonds glittering the surface, black pants and black boots. As Link stared at her for a while longer, the teenage girl smiled sweetly.
Link stood up, sending (Y/N) a swift nod as he moved past her and grabbed his trusty sword. He could feel the cool surface on his skin and lightly smiled.
Standing in the doorway, his blue eyes connected with (e/c). "We should go." He spoke, not waiting to see if (Y/N) was following him.
∆
(Y/N) proved to be effective in the battlefield, and Link couldn't help but stand there and watch as power flooded the scepter she held and she emptied it into small knives that appeared from thin air.
The blonde continued to watch, his eyes mesmerized by the way the girl moved.
Quickly cartwheeling out of the way of an attack, (Y/N) snapped her fingers, the bottom of her scepter turning into a sharp point.
She then threw the scepter into the air, racing forward and raising two fingers out in front of her. As she moved past her opponent a strange atmosphere settled around them as she kneeled for a few moments, her lips quirking into a smirk as blood poured out of a deep gash in her opponents stomach and the sharp point of her scepter dug deep into the enemies head.
The enemy turned to dust as she stood, taking the scepter into her grasp once more as she moved towards the next opponent.
Link shook his head, quickly getting back into the action as a lizard like creature ran at him, teeth sharp and tail flying behind it.
He swung his sword, gritting his teeth as his weapon bounced of the lizards metal shield. However, he would never give up. Link used this time to note his opponents movements and looked for the right time to strike.
As Link raised his sword to deliver a fatal blow, a ball of twilight beat him to it.
"Geez, Link. I wasn't going to chip in, but you looked so pathetic from where I was."
Link turned, a smile painting his face at the small imp floating in front of him. "Well, it's good to see you too Midna."
