As Draco ran, his heart hurt, his head spun and his world collapsed. For he had done the one thing he had promised not to do. He fell for a boy.

When Draco was younger, his father always talked about how disgusting muggles and mudbloods were, but as he got older, his father started talking about other things that are disgusting... like gays.

Draco didn't know what caused this sudden change in the discussions he had with his father but he did now. He knew that his father didn't want his only child, his heir to the Malfoy name to grow up to turn out to be like one of them, to grow up and be gay.

He use to agree with his father, use to think that the gays should all rot but then he started to notice how built the other boys were, how strong they looked, how handsome they were. This was a difficult and depressing time for Draco but he learnt to create strong walls around his heart, to repress those feelings but that only cause them to come back ten fold.

Running blind through the hallways, tears obscuring his view, Draco ran all the way to the common room and bust though. He look around the cosy room looking for the classic black bob, he spots it by the fire on a large, leather couch.

For once, Draco was glad that Pansy always stays up, waiting for him. He ran to her until he stood in front of the Slytherin. She looked up and simply opened her arms to the crying boy. He laying her arms, letting Pansy pat his hair and whisper words of encouragement and reassurance in his ear and Draco didn't push her away like usual, because he knew he needed this.

After about 20 minutes of laying there, Pansy cleared her throat and in a hushed voice that echoed around the now empty common room, she spoke.

"So are you going to tell me what got the big bad Draco so distressed?" Her voice was soft, almost motherly. She spoke as if she was trying to get Draco to smile again but there was a small waver in her voice that showed her true colours.

"I've done something very wrong Pansy" Draco voice was firm, no wavering, no emotion. It was like Draco Malfoy was truly broken.

"What have you done love?" The worry in Pansy's could be covered by her calm voice.

Draco knew he couldn't tell Pansy what happen, she would tell him to go back to Potter or worse make Potter come to him. He sat up and pulled away for Pansy's warm embrace. He whispered a small good night over his should and walk to his to his lonely dormitory.

As Draco lay in his bed after getting changed, he couldn't help but think about how it was nights like these that he wished that he had a roommate. Then there would be some kind of living presence to keep him companionships.

In the stillness of Draco's quiet pain, he heard someone walk up to his door and in a deep voice, too deep to be Pansy or even female, he heard,

"Good night Draco."
