Not So Damsel In Distress

CHAPTER 4

"You know where I lived?" I ask him while he is driving my car. His eyes on the road but he lazily nodded as a response.

"How'd you know? You investigated me? Researched about me?" I ask again.

He stop as the red light appear on the traffic light and look at my direction.

"Your father gave your profile so I know your name, your address, job and other basic informations. So please don't be surprise if I know some things about you. " he said.

"Isn't it illegal? Don't you know Data Privacy Act? You're accessing my profile without me knowing." I really don't mind if people know me, after all it's just the basic. Basic information.
And I'm a public figure because of my job,so.

"Well now you know so it's no longer illegal" tinaasan n'ya ako ng kilay at nginisihan. Jerk. I rolled my eyes at tumingin na lang sa labas. Pina-andar n'ya na ulit ang sasakyan at hindi na rin kami ulit nag-usap.

AS soon as he parked the car I immediately faced him and open my palm right before his face. He looked at it and then to me.

"What? You want candy?" he ask me playfully.

"Car keys." I answered him monotonously .

He gave me the keys and then I went outside. I faced him again. He is still at the driver seat looking at me.

"And oh, please help yourself walk through the gate" I shut the car's door and walk inside our house. I saw my brother with his glasses on, sitting on the couch while reading his medical book.

He shifted his gaze at my direction and put his book on the table beside him.

"You're early and...seems like you have your companion with you" kuya said.

Companion with me? Before I could ask him what he is saying. I saw another shadow in the floor beside mine. I immediately turn my back and found who's my 'companion' is.

"Didn't I told you to leave? Why are you still here?"

He ignore me and walk straight to my direction. No. Not to my direction but to kuya's.

"Hi! Rius Corvus, your sister's bodyguard" he introduce himself to kuya while offering his hand. My brother stood up and accepted it at binalingan ako ng tingin.

"Bodyguard? You hired one?" nagtatakang tanong n'ya. I glared at him, giving him the message that I didn't do it. He face the guy again.

"I'm Isaiah Soreno, Ishia's brother. How come you become her bodyguard?" He ask the guy. I hate it. I feel cringe every time I hear the word 'bodyguard'.

Instead of answering, he give something to kuya. A paper. I wonder what's written on it. My brother read it and based on his reaction, it's not a good thing. I walk near them.

"What? What's wrong?" I asked him then face the guy.

"What's with the paper?" he didn't answer me but instead he just looked at me with a poker face.

"He is meddling with our life now huh" Now I know what's written on it. You never fail to ruin something old man. My brother deeply sigh.
