Kol sat on the steps of the Mikaelson manor, feet tapping impatiently against the stone floor. He planned to sweep Hope out to The Grill with the intention to tell her about his oldest niece. The tribrid in question was currently out with her mother and aunt gathering clothes for her new life in Mystic Falls, the latter undoubtedly spoiling her as she always did.
Telling his niece about his other niece was no doubt going to be difficult and getting her to keep it a secret from the rest of the family was going to be even more difficult. Hope was not a very good secret keeper to begin with, add in Rebekah's penchant for digging gossip out of people, it was unlikely the secret would be kept for long.
Hopefully long enough for Lexi to make her grand entrance into the Mikaelson family.
The revving of an engine down the road was enough to snap Kol out of his reverie. It certainly sounded like Rebekah's car, however with vampire hearing it was most likely a mile or two away. So he waited for the car to come speeding down the drive - which in less than a minute, it did.
Hayley and Rebekah climbed out first, then Hope. Kol was on his feet immediately.
"I'm afraid I need to steal Hope for an hour or two. Bye!" He took Hope by the wrist and tried to usher her towards the direction of his car. The girl was too confused by the worried look on her uncle's face to question where they were going.
"Wait!" cried Hayley, "Where are you going?"
"The Grill, we'll be back soon." Then directing his words to Hope, "Come on, I need to tell you something. Let's go."
Hope climbed into the car without question, if Kol was this worried then it was surely better to just listen to him.
"Well, does this have something to do with the people in our house yesterday?" Rebekah asked, slightly smug at the way Kol stiffened.
Without looking back her replied, "Yup." and then climbed into the car and racing off down the drive before Rebekah demanded he elaborate.
Hope looked back in mild confusion, her mother had already disappeared into the house, no doubt to tell Klaus of Hope being kidnapped by her uncle. Whereas Rebekah looked confused, her lips were moving as if she was muttering to herself - trying to possibly figure out why telling Hope about two of 'Davina's friends' was so important.
If only it were that simple.
"Uh The Grill is that way." Hope said as if pointing out the obvious, which technically she was.
"I know. Your parents will be looking for you and Klaus will be aiming a dagger at me. Probably best if I don't make it easy on them."
"Oooo-kay?" Hope didn't say anything more for the remainder of the journey. They drove to a clearing in the middle of the woods. Hope followed as Kol left the car without saying anything and walked into the centre of the clearing.
"So are you going to tell my why you basically kidnapped me and brought us to the middle of the woods to talk about two people in the house yesterday?"
"You know your dad broke his curse here."
Hope huffed a little bit. Whilst this area held a large sort of significance, it did absolutely nothing to answer her question. She began to walk back to the car, if she wasn't going to get answers then maybe refusing to do anything but sit in the car would convince Kol to take her home.
"Probably could have chosen a better place to tell you this instead of the middle of the woods, but..."
Hope was at the treeline by this point, she stopped and turned around but didn't bother walking back to the centre of the clearing where she was standing before. Kol sounded like he was building up to something, if he was going to drag her all the way out her then maybe he could at least tell her what for before she went to sulk in the car.
"Are you going to tell me or-?"
"Fine, impatient as your father you are. Hope, you are not the -"
The sound of paws hitting earth interrupted Kol from continuing. A smallish sandy wolf broke through the treeline. With amber eyes it stared down Hope. The way it moved, Hope could just tell, this was a werewolf.
Clearly Kol knew this too.
With a deep sigh he murmured under his breath, "Oh, for Christ sake." then louder so the wolf could hear, "Lexi, go home."
The wolf whined slightly, then narrowed it's eyes at Kol challengingly.
"I swear your mother needs to put wolfsbane outside your door." He pulled out his phone and began dialling, not looking at the wolf started stalking towards him - clearly it was not happy with what he was doing.
Kol waited for a moment, presumably for whoever was on the other side to pick up.
"Darling you really need keep a better eye on Lexi."
"What do you mean, she's with Jade isn't she?"
"You really trust Jade to be honest with you rather than providing her with a cover story?"
"....."
"Caroline, love. Those two are attached at the hip and have been known to lie about where they are, and you're telling me you believed Jade without any form of proof?"
"I hate it when you're right. Where are you now? Tell her if she runs away she's grounded."
As Kol and Caroline - what did her new headmistress have anything to do with this? - continued to conspire about this sudden appearance of a werewolf, Hope was more focused on the werewolf itself. After being semi-scolded, it had flopped down onto the floor and now appeared to be sulking rather dramatically. It seemed to be paying very little attention to Kol, but rather sneaking glimpses of Hope out the corner of it's eye, quickly looking away whenever it got caught.
Finally Hope was able to catch the wolf's eye and hold it. This began a dramatic stare off, in which Hope attempted to recognised where she had seen those eyes before. It was as Kol was finishing up his phone call - and hopefully actually telling her what he'd brought her out her for - when she realised.
Those were her eyes.
Her fathers eyes.
lets just pretend you can see a werewolf's human eyes when their a wolf form
i would say im sorry for ending on a cliffhanger but im not hehehe
