We were running for miles, didn't know where to go, or which way we were heading, but we were gone.

"Daryl! Help, please where are you!" Screaming at the top of my lungs, thrashing my body, trying to escape from the walker nearing my ankle. Just as the woman's black, rotten teeth were about to sink into my skin an arrow went through her temple, ending her simple life instantly. I gasped for air, looking to my left I saw Daryl lowering his crossbow, and approach the walker to retrieve his gory arrow. He put his hand out to me, I grabbed it and hoisted myself from the ground. I could feel my face getting warmer, tears were falling from my cheeks. Daryl took me closer and gave me a slight hug, I couldn't tell if he was trying to comfort me, or making sure I didn't cry to loud to attract nearby walkers. I straightened up, wiped my tears away and began to walk towards a neighborhood we found just outside of Atlanta. "Beth, hey you alright?" His voice was soft, I turned my shoulder and icily responded, "Yeah Daryl, I'm fine. Let's go." I began once again towards our destination, hearing Daryl follow me close behind.
"I'll clear it, you stay here." Daryl spoke quietly and walked into the large house. From the outside it seemed almost untouched, the windows were intact, the door was locked when we go there, the grass and the shrubbery was well overgrown, other than that it was beautiful. "Hey you gonna stand there all day 'er what." I rolled my eyes and followed him through the tall, mahogany door, "Only one of 'em freaks in here, take it out in'a bit."
The inside of the house was even more beautiful than the outside, there was matching red velvet furniture spread across the house. The walls were painted a welcoming light coca brown, urban art was hanging on the walls, a Van Gough painting was atop of the slate mantle. I felt so at home here, I went upstairs and found the master bedroom. It was perfect, dark wood flooring with neutral grey walls, a dark nightstand and an elegant lamp by the bed. I turned a corner and saw the master bedroom, granite everything, chrome sinks, a large jacuzzi bathtub and a view to steal your breath. I couldn't believe my eyes, I tried turning on the water, and to my surprise it worked! I was so taken back by everything that I didn't hear Daryl come up behind me, "Enjoying yourself sunshine?" I quickly turned around to see him holding a couple bags of chips and some soda, "Wow you found food too?" Daryl nodded his head and went to sit on the bed, and I followed. We sat in silence for awhile before Daryl began to speak about what he found, "I was out back 'n these people must'a been rich or sumthin' they had a huge water fountain, and a pool." Just as Daryl finished his sentence a gunshot was heard not too far away.
