Felice's POV
It was the first rodeo of the year. My boyfriend Dusty Butterfield was on a huge black stallion that swung left then right then it would jump forward until finally the buzzer went off and he jumped on the pick up mans horses bum sliding gracefully off the other side. Dusty grabbed his hat off his head and lifted it in a thank you kind of manner. I ran to the chutes to go and congratulate Dusty but the guys back there wouldn't let me get through.
"Felice we know you want to go see him but you can't come back here without boots and a cowboy hat." Dusty friend Luke says to me. that's when my great
idea. reaching up I grab his hat off his head and put it on my head.
"Wow Luke you have a small head!" I say and then point down to my feet "I have boots and I have a cowboy hat. can I go see Dusty know?"
"Felice! Give me my hat back!" He says plucking the hat from my head and placing it back on his.
"Luke! I was using that!"
"Well know your not." Jerk. stole my hat! Ok maybe it wasn't my hat but it was doing the job!
"Here Felice you can use my hat if like." Layton offers me which I take gratefully. Layton was another one of Dusty's close friends.
"Layton don't encourage the girl!" Luke says.
"What girl are we not encouraging?" Dusty walks up from behind the chutes. Taking layton's hat off and handing it back to him I walk over to Dusty putting my arms around his neck and placing a kiss on his lips. Dusty's hands went down to hold my hips trying to deepen the kiss but I pulled away when the boys started whistling. flipping them them off I grab Dusty's hand and drag him behind me to our seats just as the kiss cam was going around. it just happened to land on us. tipping his hat up Dusty leaned in and I closed the distance between us. my eyes slipped closed and the kiss was getting very passionate almost to passionate for in public. a tap on my shoulder is what brought me back to reality.
"Well I think we have our winners here!" the announcer said " if I can have Dusty Butterfield and his lovely little lady come and receive their prize that would be great!" Then he went on with the rodeo. this time it was Dusty's turn to drag me around. when we got the the announcers stand we got of prize which is a hundred dollars at chicks saddlery. once they did the last bull rider might I add Shaun bray. a guy that's always hitting on me and girls. Dusty has hit the guy so many times but he never seems to get the hint that I'm taken.
"You guys going over to the carnival tonight?" The boys ask me and Dusty.
"Hell yeah! Since when have I ever missed a carnival it's a great reason to get drunk and then not get in any trouble for it!" I shout over the noise.
"Ok well you girls go and get ready I will be at your trailer in an hour." Dusty shouted over the noise like I had to.
