Rodeo Life part 13

I was riding my gelding to the warm up ring when my eyes landed on Luke. He was hugging a girl. A pretty girl. A girl with pin straight strawberry blonde hair. As I rode closer I learned she had dimples when she smiles. I did not like this at all! My man hugging a pretty girl that wasn't me. Was I jealous? Most definitly. So as I rode by I glared at the girl and made sure she saw it. She then whispered something in his ear and he turned and looked at me and a panicked look crossed his face he then told pretty girl something and started jogging to me.

"Felice! Please wait! I can explain what that was about!" He calls out to me. I stop my horse and jump off of him amd storm over to him.

"You damn well better have a good explaination for that!" I seeth at him.

"Felice thats my brothers girlfriend and I just ran into her and she gave me a hug thats it! Please Felice I swear to god its nothing more than that!"

"Your brothers girlfriend?! Really Luke your going to pull that on me?!" I yell as tears sting my eyes. She slowly makes her way over to us with a worried look on her face.

"Luke is everything okay? Is it something I did?" Luke went to answer her but I got to it first.

"Look Barbie why don't you just stay out of this?!" I glare at her.

"Felice, baby, listen I'm not lying this is my brothers girlfriend!" The girls eyes widen as she realizes what the problem is here.

"Oh my God your Felice? I have heard so much about you! Jay just adores you!" She talks excitedly. Luke gives me a 'told you so' kind of look and I just glare at him. I can't believe he just let me do that in front of his brothers girl! Well then again he did try and stop me I just didn't listen.

"Oh um hi sorry I didn't catch your name."

"Oh right silly me I'm Kristina I just moved here."

"Well its nice to meet you Kristina but I have to get going." I say with a smile and then point at my horses bum as I made eye contact with Luke basically telling him to get on we need to talk.

He said a quick goodbye to Kristina and then jumped on my horses bum and we started walking off.

"Thank you so very much Luke for telling me I was getting upset over your brothers girlfriend!"

"Hey Fel I tried but you wouldn''t listen to me." He said with a chuckle and I couldn't help but giggle as well.

"Okay maybe you did." I say with fake guilt.

"I missed this Fel. I miss you and me, I miss us." I looked at him to see if he was serious or if he was just pulling my leg. I decided to go with the first option.

"I miss it too Luke I miss it a lot." I say quietly fearing he will say just kidding and I end up looking like a fool. But it never came he just hugged me and rested his head on my back. I sighed with content and continued to walk my horse in circles. I didn't want to have to kick him off so I could warm up my horse. So I didn't! I nudged the big gelding into a trot and laughed as he almost fell off.

"L-l-o-op n-no-o-w." He tried to say but was bouncing around to much and I laughed but still kicked him up into his lope. Chesters lope always starts out brutal and then he would ease into a nice smooth craddle rocking lope. His first few strides Luke almost fell off again. I laughed at him and so did barrel racers and ropers riding along as well. Luke however didn't find it nearly as funny as we did. I could feel his glare on my back as I laughed. Some of the ropers riding by would make comments about Luke and I and I would laugh as Luke would make a snarky comment back.

"We will be starting up our Ladies Barrel Racing up first is Madison Calyn on that big grey horse we all love! And shes around first and second and third goes down. Madison has a time of 16.05 with an added penalty of 5." And this went on for 8 girls and then they were calling my name. I had Luke lead me into the ally and the next thing I know I'm racing at first. Pick up push look go and repeat. I didn't hear my time but from the cheers I could tell it was a good one. Luke lead me out and popped on Chesters bum again and I walked us to my trailer we chatted as we went. I felt I was in a daze almost like I was dreaming. I mean was Luke really not mad at me any more? Was I still mad at him? No I don't think so. I could feel myself coming out of my adrenaline high. I went to get off forgetting about Luke sitting right behind me and ended up booting him and then falling on my butt Luke landed right beside me and we both burst out laughing. Hunter and Layton both walked up to get their horses onky to see us both on our butts on the ground killing ourselves laughing.

"I'm not even going to ask." Layton said rolling his eyes.

"Hey Romeo and Juliet I see you guys are on speaking terms again after a week of pure awkwardness." Hunter says walking by and pulling us both to our feet. Luke chuckled and nodded his head. All I could think was Hunter didn't even know awkward it really was! Then again Fay and Craig are still hanging around. She is always trying to hang around with us and he is always hanging around other chicks. They have an odd relationship to say the least, he cheats on her and she cheats on him. But who am I to judge? I mean look at Luke and I!
I shook my head to clear it and started to untack Chester Luke was on the other side of him putting everything up and then it hit me. We didn't tie him up and he knew. He looked at me then at Luke and he was gone. Luke cursed and we took off after him. Shouts could be heard and people were falling as he ran through the crowd. The rodeo had ended and there was people everywhere. Some people would lung ant try and get a hold on his reins but all that tried would fail. I couldn't help but laugh in anger and a yes even amusment. Soon Luke was laughing alonh with me. I noticed someone had finally caught Chester and I slowed to a walk making sure I don't spook him and have him take off again. My smile faded as I realized who had hold of him. Dusty.

"Thanks for catching him." Is all I say and he smiles at me in return. When Luke walks up he glares at Dusty and slips his arm around my waist and gives me a kiss on the cheek. Dusty smiles awkwardly and just nods his head as he walks away leaving the two of us and my horse.

"What was that all about Luke?" I ask looking him in the eyes.

"What was what all about? I can't hold you and give you a kiss when I want to?" He says faking an offended look.

"No do that all you want but really did you have to glare at him? He has been doing good with leaving us alone!" I say smiling up at him.

"Yeah because we have been fighting for the past week Fel."

"Well he was still leaving us alone even if we had been fighting." I say matter of factly. I move around to the side of Chester and pop my leg up asking for a lift.

Later that night Madi Jayde and Jayden told us about a party just a few kilometers away from the rodeo grounds and we had all agreed to go. So I was currently in my trailer with Luke trying to get ready he however had a different plan that included a lot of kissing.

"Lukeee I have to get ready!" I would wine and he would ignore and kiss my neck.

"I'm not stopping you from getting ready its you stopping yourself." Would be his reply after a few seconds.

"Okay Luke I need to get ready Madi and Jayde and Jayden are going to be here soon and they will flip if they see I'm not ready!" I finally said walking over to my little closet. I leafed through clothes not finding anything I deemed worthy. "Luke help me!"

"What with?"

"I have nothing to wear!" I pout and he walks over to me. After looking for a minute he picks out some shorts and a tank top.

I looked at it doubtfully and he whispered in my ear "I don't want every guys eyes on you, only mine."

"But Luke yours are the only ones that matter to me." I say looking over my shoulder and giving him a gentle kiss. I turn around in his arms and wrap my arms around his neck kissing him more passion. He ran his tounge across my lip asking for entrence which I granted him without any hesitance. We fought for dominance with the kiss which he of course won.

"Hey chic okay I'm out!" Jayde says when she burts into the trailer to find Luke and I making out. I buried my face in his chest to hide my blush and he just chuckled and hugged me to him. I pulled away once my face stopped burning and started getting dressed for the night and yelling to Jayde it was safe to enter, but it wasn't her. It was Shay, Lukes ex girlfriend.
