Chapter 6: At The End of The Day

When lunch rolled around I was introduced to Aidan's friend group. They were very inviting, and pretty funny. It composed of boys and girls so it wasn't awkward.

Bailey explained that everyone had a family label. Helen was the mom. She had the longest legs I could possible imagine for a teenager. Her dark brown eyes complemented her extremely curly light brown hair well. She overall very pretty, and I really liked her. She was hilarious, but retelling jokes is forbidden in my world. So I'm not going to explain what she said, it kills the effect of having an inside joke.

The the dad (whom Helen was dating) was very outgoing as well. His name was Will. He had bleach blond hair with gentle eyes. For a boy, he was nice enough, and very funny. I know why the two lovebirds are dating now.

Let see, then there's Hudson. He had dark brown hair with pale eyes, he seemed like the more reserved guy in the group. He had dark brown hair with vibrant blue eyes that made a shock wave course throughout your body every time you saw them. But he was still very welcoming. He is the adopted son of Helen and Will.

And there was also Dahlia. The grandmother twice removed. She was funny, and very easy going. She was one of those people that always makes you feel comfortable. She had jet black with hazel eyes. A great sense of style, if I may add. We talked for a little while about how badly boys dressed. We can up with the

Then there's Jackson. The drunk uncle. His hilarious! My sides hurt from laughing at him. He's kind of gay, though. He wears bow ties, and has his hair flipped back with intense gel in it. But he's just a fun guy to be around so you kinda have to like him.

Aidan is the nephew that was found in an abandoned ford pickup Haha. I hadn't realized for a while, but he had his hand on the curve of my waist clutching me close. Dahlia noticed, "Are you two a couple already?" She asked.
I waited for Aidan to answer so I could hear how he feels about it. "Yea we went out on a date. So I guess your my girlfriend huh?" He looked at me making a puppy face,
"Pwease......." He begged.

"Awww poor baby, if it makes you feel better," I said in a baby-talk voice.

"Yes!" He exclaimed. Helen interrupted, "Yay! Another couple! We can go on double dates."

"That would be fun," I replied. Really it would.

"So the mall after school?" Aidan gestured to Helen, Will, and me. "Duh," Helen responded for all of us. I texted Anna and told her not to pick me up, Aidan offered to drive. He said he turned sixteen over the summer.

Lunch ended, then we all dispersed into our prison cells. Will and Dahlia were in my next class, World Geography. It was so boring I was starting to see double and Dahlia was sleeping.
Will sat next to me cracking jokes with a boy who I had never seen before. Eventually, I made it to my next period with Aidan and Hudson. Political science was fun because we got to "debate" with our friends. We just talked, and at some point Hudson said, "Hard core third wheel over here! Can you guys tone it down?" We laughed and continued to talk about carpet clocks that sit on floor and make you step on it for it to go off. I need one in my life.

The rest of the day I just kinda sat there staring at walls. In my last class, i made some other friends. A few guys tried to flirt, but I instantly shut them down. I had only one thing on my mind surviving until my double date.
The bell finally rang, and a practically skipped to the parking lot to meet Aidan.
