"In the car Madame," Aidan gestured for to get into his sorry excuse for a car. I felt really bad for him. It wasn't his fault his parents refused to spend money on a sixteen year old. Throughout are drive to the mall, I had mini heart attacks because I thought the car was gonna break down. Helen drove Will in a separate car, he hasn't gotten a car yet. His parents shut down that idea pretty quick.
Or so he says. When we pulled into lot by the mall, it was about five o' clock. I was about to open the door, when he stopped me. Locking me in the car. "Don't move," he ordered. He got out of the car, walked around to my side, and opened the door for me. Before I could hop out, he swooped me up bridal style and carried me all the way to front doors of the mall. Helen and Will were there waiting for us, and when Aidan put me down again Helen said "Could you two not be cuter?" Will, looking offended, interrupted by grabbing her by the arm and picking up the rest of her body. "Yea but we're pretty cute too," he smiled. She laughed and rested her head on his chest. "Now put me down before I break you," she replied. The couple grabbed hands and the happiness radiating off of them seemed to be obvious to the whole mall. Aidan grabbed mine, and before we followed them inside, he stopped to say something, "You, Miss Brooklyn, are smart, funny, beautiful, beautiful, and beautiful." He bent down and kissed my cheek. His lips a soft touch. "You are the king of random moments," i said in return. "Spontaneously amazing, is a better phrase," he said. We finally walked through the door, and after a few looks around the place we spotted them. The were standing in front the jewelry store window. Helen was staring at this one in particular. It's was lavish and quite frankly gorgeous. It had big stones the size of my finger nail, and they were spread out intending to cover the whole persons upper chest. "Honey, I wish I could give that to you. But I can't give you anything but love," whispered to Helen. "That's all I need" she responded so quietly it was barely audible. My heart nearly melted. He pulled her close and gave her a sweet kiss. "Every kiss begins with Kay," I sang.
I scouted out the rest of the window, maybe there was something else that wasn't so extravagant. My eyes glanced over to the corner, whee I found a new single, small pearl dangling off a little chain. It was beautiful. It didn't have all the extra crap on it like the other ones. It fit my style nicely. I didn't need a big necklace to make me feel like I have more self-worth. I was deep in thought, I didn't realize I had been staring at it for a very long time. Aidan followed my eyes to the necklace, he examined it closely. He looked at me with a large grin, crawling across his face.
"What?" I asked. He haut chuckled and we move on to the food court to get Starbucks. No I do not get pumpkin spice lattes, and no I'm not a stupid white girl. I always get a vanilla bean frap with no whip. Since I couldn't remember what I liked, it took a while to find something that worked. I'm so happy that I can function without my memories. At least I'm making new ones.
After the food court we made our way around the place. We dropped by Great American Cookies and grabbed some cookie cake slices. Even on Earth. We roamed around making jokes and having fun and doing weird things that made everybody look at us. Will said "Well maybe if you weren't so expensive, Aidan could by a new car." Aidan pushed him really hard. Really. Hard Instead of stumbling, he fell into the nearest trash can. My laugh was uncontainable, my sides were about to explode. His feet and head remained outside of the tube. "Better watch out next time, buddy," Aidan said while trying to keep a straight face. Once we had our laugh out, Aidan grabbed his hand to help him out. But he wasn't budging. Aidan tried harder harder-yanking the poor guy's arm(I thought it was going to fall off)- but still nothing happened. An officer walked by us, one eyebrow cocked high. "Officer!" Helen called "can we have some help," Helen could barely even say the words right because she was laughing to hard. Her laugh was really pretty, if you know what I mean. "Oh you kids always cause trouble, of course," he answered, sighing heavily.
Eventually, we wedged Will out of the can. He gave Aidan the death stare, trying to punish his soul for his crime. Now that I think about it, Will said I was expensive. But Aidan hasn't spent much money on me. He bought Starbucks like twice for me, and a few little things like the cookie, but I don't think that qualifies as expensive.
