"Yeah, can we be friends?" I asked him while looking down on my feet. "Okay, sure" and he just smiled at me and I smileback to him.
"Have you had lunch? You wanna go and eat in the cafeteria?" I asked and read on his name tag "Lee Taemin."
We walked to the cafeteria and ordered a food for us, After that we sat together. "How are you?" He asked me and looked at my eyes and smiles. He was able to speak very well, but sometimes he repeats words because he can't hear himself.
"I-i'm good" i replied and smiles back at him. While we were eating he talked about his deaf. He told me he was in an accident five years ago and he destroyed the nerves between the ears and the brain, and he also told me about how he is an loner child, and that he doesn't have friends outside because his studying to read people's mouth.
He told me it took him a year to learn how to speak again and how to read sign language. We were both look like a idiots but we had fun with each other."When i was 11, I knew that i wanted to write a kid's book and tell the world what it was like being a deaf." He said and looked down on his feet. He looks really sad, but still he smiles. and then the bell just rang so we said goodbye to each other.
