Stan peered out of his moonlit window to see a family of brand new neighbors unloading the moving van of their belongings. He saw a familiar tall, lanky boy with thick curly hair exit the house to go grab another box.

Stan had no idea Richie Tozier was moving in right next door to him. Richie Tozier, or more famously known as the Trashmouth, looked clearly annoyed by something his 'father' Wentworth Tozier said to the teen.

Wentworth closed the front door behind him as he took in what seemed to be the last of their boxes. Stan, suddenly not so interested in the outside, decided he'd 'try' and sleep.

About 12 minutes later (he was still awake) Stan saw a bedroom light illuminate the large bedroom window in the new Tozier house. Stan got up and looked through his window to see a mass of curls flinging around the room as Richie danced to what seemed like an upbeat song.

Stan thought to himself for a moment then carefully opened his window before climbing down the tree branches placed just to the left of Stan's small window. He felt a harsh bitter breeze come in contact with his already cold skin as he made his way to the bottom of the bedroom wall that leads up to the Trashmouth's window.

He threw a small stone up at it to try and only get Richie's attention, not his parents. After a few minutes of waiting he knew Richie didn't hear so he threw a few more, getting slightly bigger as he went through them.

Just as he was about to throw another stone, he heard the click of the latch on the window before he saw those dorky glasses on the pale face, peek out of the window.

"Stan? What are you doing here?" Richie questioned.

"I thought I'd come say hello to my new neighbor. Now are you gonna let me in or..."

"Oh shit sorry yeah just climb the tr- wait neighbor?" Richie said slightly shocked.

Stan ignored his remark as he climbed up the opposite side of the tree that connected the two houses, crawling through Richie's opened window. Stan recognized the song almost immediately as 'You're My Best Friend' By Queen.

'Didn't think he listened to good music, obviously he does.' Stan thought as Richie helped him up, then sat on his new bed with Stan laying his head down on Richie's lap.

"So what's new Stan the man? It feels like I haven't seen you in forever." Richie said as his fingers started playing with Stan's noodle-like hair.

"Same all, same all you know? Just mainly bird watching or hanging out with Bill. What about you?" Stan replied as Richie silently fumed at the mention of Bill.

No it wasn't because he hated Bill, see Richie gets jealous easily, especially when it happens to do with Stan.

"Just hanging out with Eds, you know the usual." Richie said through gritted teeth. No he hadn't even seen Eddie these past few days, let alone hanging out with him. Stan stiffened slightly but not enough for Richie to notice.

"Oh.... Cool." Stan sighed.

"Hey uh Rich?" Stanley asked.

"Yeah?"

"Um.. is it o-okay for a uh- a boy to l-like another b-boy...?" Stan asked quietly, almost like he was afraid that if he spoke any louder than that, the whole of Derry would hear.
