BROOKE'S POV
"Is it too much to ask to be happy, I just want to be happy and laugh with my friends. I'm too young to feel this way." I say to myself, making sure no one can hear me. I sometimes think that maybe I was made to be at a low point forever so everyone in my life can be happier than me, like I can give them that boost. All the really sad thoughts and feelings come when it's dark and quiet at night. I try to sleep, but it never really works out, so I listen to music and read. Reading and music seem to be the only thing I'm interested in lately.
"Ughhh..."I say as I hear my alarm clock go off. "It's going to be a great day" I say sarcastically. I don't hate school, I love to see my friends and some classes I like, but it's way to early for me and I hate almost 95% of the kids that go to my school.
I walk to the bus stop, get to school, talk with my friends, and then go to my first period class, it seems like a totally normal day at school except for the fact there is a boy that I have never seen before in a desk right next to me. He has blond hair and bright blue eyes, that are simply breath-taking, I sit in my normal seat. "Good morning everyone." My teacher says, way too enthusiastic for 7:30 in the morning. "We have a new student joining us all the way from Sydney, Australia!" I look over at the boy with the blond hair as he stands and says "Hello... I-I'm Lu-Luke..." Luke then slides back into his seat. He seemed so nervous and anxious, he was playing with his lip ring trying not to make eye contact with anyone. "Well, everyone give Luke a warm welcome." In sync the whole class says "Hi, Luke." No one sounding too exciting having a new kid, but I found him fascinating and wanted to learn more about him.
After class my teacher pulled me aside letting me know that I will be Luke's guide for a few weeks, until he gets more familiar with the school. "Hi, Luke... I'm Brooke, I'll be showing you around I guess." sounding very cheery, so he doesn't feel like I don't want to be around him. "Hi, Brooke" Luke says sounding tired, less nervous and more calm.

(A/N) Heyyy so this is my first time every writing, so I'm kind of nervous, but I hope you all like it and please please give me notes on how to improve. I'm a newbie so I apologize in advance for it being terrible :))
