You need to believe and trust in God during hard times. You need to lean on him and believe that he is going to get you through the situation. If you read the bible, you will learn all of the things God does for you as an individual and what he does for everyone around you. Everyone fights hard battles during their life. It might be off and on. You may have a hard time for the first month of the year, and then another hard time the third month of the year and repeat. Or you might be battling a hard time for a whole year. But, that's the point of life. We aren't perfect, so, therefore, we are going to make mistakes and go through hard times. If you think about it, who else went through a hard time and later gained success? A lot of people. It even gives examples of people in the bible who made mistakes and later gained success and became a true follower in God. Some examples are Job, Moses, and Gideon. Everyone makes mistakes and if you ask God for forgiveness and truly regret the thing you did, you will be forgiven. You might even break one of the 10 commandments, but you could still ask for forgiveness. God will never turn you down if you regret something and ask him for forgiveness. There are many other types of hard times and here is how to deal with them:

One thing that will help you through every hard time is to explain to God how you are feeling, your thoughts, and emotions while praying to him
