She tried to move away from that closeness, her hands tried to unlock his grips from her waist. It was not that she had started feeling unease with this intimate touch but somewhere that distance they both had created emotionally did affect their bonding to some extent. She was calm beside him but a little part in her mind was asking her to stay a step away. The situation under which their relationship was going through somewhere made her shake her belief system and now she was trying to collect and build that once again. She was not scared but she did have many doubts, more over this fragile emotional period of her pregnancy made her act so.

She knew, just to meet him, just to have him before her eyes she had left everything behind in Delhi and went to him..but somewhere the bit of reluctance was not ready to leave her completely. She needed time to accept the flow life was bringing to them.

Arnav's eyes read her face then the attempts made by her fingers to free herself. Silently he took two steps back, and then found her relaxing a bit. Trying to erase that tense moment, Arnav got back to his previous question.

"You have not replied yet?? Everything is fine, right?? You both are fine, right Khushi??"

He knew he had to put lots of efforts to rebuild their relationship, needed a lot of patience to work on their marriage all over again. But for now, it was necessary to know these twos well being.

"Hum thik hai.."

She replied slowly, His eyes still questioned her. Pushing her fringes behind her ear, she added once more..

"We both are fine.."

He sighed in relief..

"Then.. Why do you.."

"I have talked to the Doctor. She said because of weakness such might happen as well as everybody is not same, everyone differs physically.. and that might be my case."

"Fine.. Let's skip the second possibility.. I want to know what do you mean by weakness Khushi??"

"You were not there for all these weeks.. You can't expect from me detailing of all these weeks at once if that's what you have intend to.."

"Sorry..(looking deep into her eyes he tried to make himself clear of her word.) Are you asking me not get into know your medical details that too then it is related to another life as well??"

"Yes.. You should not."

"Are we on the verge of The Most Awaited Argument finally??"

She kept silent, she did not wish to fight neither she had any intention to do so. But this question from him just made her go angry unknown to her. When she had conveyed him her message weeks before through the letter, why was that so tough on his part to grab his phone and dial her number?? Did she expect more?? Or for him the news of parenthood got suppressed under the expedition of his past??

Arnav stared at her, not understanding what to say. He was thinking they both had finally gone to that phase of life which would be accepted by them mutually. He had conveyed her his fear of being a better person performing parent role for their unborn, then why she was unable to understand him?? He was not asking her to accept him right now, right then.. But for sure, he expected her to make those things easier and clearer which he failed to make.

"Hume so jana chahiye.."

Deciding not to have any bitter conversation, he found the easy way to escape. Not saying a word, Khushi moved away from him and occupied one side of bed. He shut his eyes tightly trying to calm his angry nerves down.
