Kira's P.O.V.

It turned out I was out for an entire day, as I was out cold, they were able to fix up the castle, and Lance is also healing in a pod as well, but he should be getting out soon. We all wait outside his pod, pondering on how much longer it would take for him to wake, I hid in the shadows against one of the walls, I knew Allura was uncomfortable near me so I gave her space, the others insisted to come closer, but I refused. They began to speak, a bit of bickering but nothing major as I sharpen my new knife, it seems since I and Safiyya fused, I now hold her weapon, it was kinda cool. As I leaned against the wall, minding my own business, Shiro kept glancing in my direction, he seemed worried but I just focused on the knife, he then walked over, I look up and smile, " You seem upset? Is something wrong?", I ask him, stopping on what I was doing, he let out a sigh and turned to me, " Kira, I know Allura is not comfortable around you but that doesn't mean you should distance yourself from the rest of us. I don't want you to feel like an outcast.", he started as he looked down at me with sad eyes

Shiro was always so caring and kind, that's why I think I fell in love with him at the Garrison, but that's over now so there is no point in trying to get his attention, " Shiro, I'm not going distance myself from the others I promise. It's just that Allura has a past with the Galra as we all know. If I am to be able to gain her respect again I have to give her space until she gets comfortable with me again.", I explain to him, he looked down thinking over my words he sighed and looked back up, " Alright, but if she says anything to you please let me know. I don't want you to get hurt, in any way.", he says placing a hand on my shoulder, I place my own hand on his nodding my head. We seemed to be like this for a few seconds when he smiles and begins to walk to the others, for some reason I didn't want him to leave, I hoped he would stand next to me, but I didn't stop him as he continued to walk away.

A few minutes go by when I overhear what the others babble on about, " I can't tell if he looks healthy or not.", Hunk stated, seeming to get closer to the pod to examine, " I think he's breathing weird.", Pidge confessed as she was squeezed against the pod door, Coran stood at the monitor, seeming to go over things, he seemed chill with me and my new transformation, I was glad he didn't get mad at me though." Oh come on!", Keith complained as he was going to press the door open, Allura immediately stopped him, " Not yet! Just a few more ticks.", " How much better do you think he's gonna get with just a few more ticks?", Keith asked, clearly impatient. Pidge then seems to realize something, " What exactly is a tick?", she asked, " You know a time slice.", she answered, Shiro then popped in, " You mean like a second.", They all turn around, Allura clearly confused, " What's a second?", " Like this.", Pidge answered pulling out a phone from her back pocket he showed it to Allura, " I'm not sure. I think ticks are bigger. Coran, do you have a ticker?", she called out, Coran turns around, " Right here, Princess", he said showcasing his gadget, Pidge and Hunk examined it, but couldn't really tell which one was faster or bigger, " We have to start them at the same.", Pidge suggested." Okay, ready go!", Coran announced, the time race was on and I couldn't help but laugh silently on how funny this was, as they all huddled around in the center when the pod Lance was in opened up, he then seemed a bit dizzy and clumsily walked over to the others.

" Are you guys having a clock party?", he asked, " Aw, Lance you just ruined it!", Hunk complained, then realized who it was, " Hey, Lance!", he shouted out, squeezing him in a bear hug. He finally settled him down to the ground, holding him up, " What happened?", " We can tell you all about it while you get something to eat. Are you able to walk?", Allura asked. Lance looked to her, " Talking? Eating? Are you asking me out on a date?", he asked smirking, I facepalmed myself as we all groan, " And the Tailor is back.", I mumble, we then take him to his room for he can change, once he was done we went to the dining room, I again watched from far, Shiro clearly got upset about it, but he didn't bug me about it, Lance still hasn't seen me, but he clearly seemed confused on where I was. They then began to finish explain things him on what had happened while he was out cold, " He'd be Sendak prisoner right now, if not for Pidge", Allura stated, " Well you wouldn't have survived the explosion if Hunk and Coran hadn't gotten a crystal .", Pidge added in right after, " Wow. Thanks, everybody. Sounds like the mice did more than you though.", Lance mocked at Keith, " I helped fight Sendak.", he stated, " Yeah, apparently after I emerged from a coma and shot his arm off.", Lance added, " We had a bonding moment. I cradled you in my arms!", Keith cried out, clearly annoyed.
