The Battle For My Heart

THE STORY

"Beep beep beep" Edna's alarm startled her from her deep slumber. Although she was annoyed to be woken up she was excited because the day had finally arrived.  As she jumped out of bed she threw her short black bob into a messy bun, her skin tingled with anticipation and nerves. Edna had to look her best today so she paired her best black ripped skinny jeans with her nirvana crop top and favourite red converse high tops. "Perfect," she said as she looked at her reflection in her floor-length mirror.  

Today was no normal day, it was the day life as she knew it would flip on its head. Edna and Shane Grey had been together for 7 months, it started off a simple summer fling but everyone around them knew they were soulmates. Their spark was undeniable although something was beginning to feel off for Edna as if their flame was dying. Even though at this time their relationship was turbulent Edna was determined to be there for Joe on such an important day. Today was the day connect 3 would cement their place in the hall of fame, by asserting their dominance over beloved boy band one direction.  

Edna decided she would meet Shane Grey, Nick and Kevin (connect 3) at Madison Square Garden where the duel will be taking place. On her way she made a detour to pick up her longtime BFF Onika Miraj, famously known by her stage name Nicki Minaj, as she was one of the three esteemed judges.  When Edna and Onika arrived at the stadium they entered via the back loading docks and made a B-line to Onika's dressing room.  As Edna and Onika were so deep in conversation Edna felt her body collide with another. She knew who it was immediately, she could recognise that scent from miles away. It's Harry she thought to herself.  As she looked up her blue eyes met his green orbs gazed down upon her. 

"h-hello H-Harry" she stuttered nervously 

"Ello poppet " Harry remarked with a devilish grin. 

After their brief conversation, Edna scurried quickly into Onika's dressing room where she was met by a confused looking Nicki. "what was that all about then?" Nicki asked

"What with Harry? oh, nothing! we are just friends!" Edna snapped as she was worried that her friend was on to her. 

"Girl I think his anaconda does want some". Edna blushed because she knew Nicki was right as she felt the same way towards Harry. 

"Jason Derulo" the voice over the loudspeaker, followed by the MC of the night Jason Derulo announcing the duel was to commence within the next 5 minutes. The crowd roared as the judges took their seats. the panel consisted of Nicki Minaj, Ed Sheeran and Daniel Radcliff. 

First up was One Direction with their off the chart record, One thing. The directioners lost their mind and Edna felt a tingle down her spine.  After their stellar performance connect 3 were up next. 

After connect 3's performance Edna thought it was time to conference her terrible sins to Shane Grey. She decided that whilst Shane Grey was still on high from his impeccable performance that it was time.

"Shane Grey, you may have noticed that our spark has dwindled. This is because I have another lover, and he's standing right over there" She states as she points in Harry's direction. At first, Edna thought Shane Grey would be furious with this devastating news but when he replied with "Oh thank God me too" she was overwhelmed with shock and consumed with confusion.

Shane Grey explained that he had been secretly sleeping with his background singer Mitchie whom he met whilst at his uncles summer camp, camp rock. Relieved that they could be honest with each other the pair decided to part ways.

The next day Harry and Edna and jumped aboard the Hogwarts Express and decided to elope. Their wedding was exquisite, they decked out the Three Broomsticks in Hogsmead and was officiated by Professor Mad-Eye Moody. They settled in the vineyards of Tuscany and adopted a group of dolphins (grolphins) in which they trained. Their life was decadent and lavish and they lived happily ever after.
