Morning sunlight cast the varying hues of autumn leaves onto the cold forest floor. The last of a gentle frost had melted and everything was awakening. A beautiful wolf crept from her den beneath the roots of a tree. She trotted into a ray of sun that illuminated her reddish pelt. Moments after another she-wolf emerged from the den into the crisp morning air. She was smaller, and her pelt was more of an auburn tone that contrasted starkly with her pale underbelly. Though the most eye-catching thing these wolves shared was their vibrant violet eyes. The elder wolf let out a soft bark before making her way into the forest. The daughter followed dutifully scenting the air for traces of prey. They searched for a few hours with no luck, prey had become scarce ever since the frosts had hit.

The younger she-wolf barked sharply at her mother knowing it was no use to continue searching, they'd catch something when it came out later. The red wolf gave the smaller wolf a deadly glare her eyes emitting a soft glow as she bared her teeth to reveal her elongated canines. The daughter returned the glare also allowing her vampire side to emerge, baring her fangs with a soft growl. Living in the forest was rough, they went without food regularly and neither had been in their human forms in months. Her mother claimed in was because they were Hybrids, which were greatly looked down upon and were killed if discovered. Though the younger wondered if there was another reason for her mothers reluctance to live a normal life.                          Her mother growled at her response and continued walking, her daughter reluctantly followed knowing if they came across something it was better to be together. An ear piercing inhuman screech broke the morning peace. This caught the attention of the Hybrids, the elder racing in the direction of the sound. The red wolf raced towards a clearing surrounded by delicate white roses. The darker one hung back once she caught sight of the source of the sound.

There, in the circle of white roses it stood. It's eyes were an ominous black and black thick tear like drops ran from it's soulless eyes. The creatures wings were burned and shattered. It seemed as though it was once white but had become corrupted. Long scorched and torn robes hung off it's hauntingly thin frame. It's hair was pale blonde, tangled, and matted. There was more of the tear substance dripping off of it along with particles that seemed unearthly. The creature was a horrifying sight. Then the sounding of crackling was heard and her mother shifted human for the first time in months. It was strange to see her long red hair and pale skin in the sun, normally the shadows were their home. Though her mother looked at this creature with a look in her eyes that appeared far too often.

"Ah, another like me. Banished from the gates of Heaven." She began, her daughter backed away from the clearing, her amethyst eyes sombre. Only her mother would try to befriend that creature. Her hate for the angels and desire to rule over the supernatural world was something her daughter had desperately tried to ignore, but it always resurfaced more prominent than ever. Most creatures refused to join her and ended up getting killed, even those who did join her still tended to end up dead. Though this creature was different from the others, the others were broken souls. This one had no soul and was only filled with hate and destruction. Her mother allowed her own tarnished and broken wings unfold, a few feathers fell from them while others barely held on. "Join me, we can get revenge on those oh so Holy angels and rule the supernatural world." Her mother hissed but all the creature did was let out a bloodcurdling shriek that seemed almost like laughter.

"Fool, I'm fixing this world and it starts by ridding it of disgraces like you." It screeched, lunging at the redheaded woman and raking it's claw-like hands down her side. Blood splattered across the dainty roses that surrounded the clearing. Her mother retaliated quickly, a deadly dance beginning between the two evils. This angel was strong, and after a few minutes it was obvious her mother had no chance. Even after she used spells and her speed she couldn't escape the fallen angel's wrath. The angel plunged it's claws into her mother chest and ripped out her heart. It then began to drain her power, literally sucking the life from her. It let out an unearthly scream as it grew more powerful. It flew off, thankfully in the opposite direction that the young wolf was hiding. Between her mothers corpse and the bloody battlefield surrounded by roses she knew it wasn't safe here any longer. So she turned and ran. She ran from that angel that was determined to kill those like her, she ran from her mother's gruesome corpse with her heart laying on the ground, and she ran from those evocative white roses. She ran and ran adrenaline pumping through her veins. She ran until she couldn't run anymore.

Then she collapsed, right next to a white rose bush.
