Despite his young age, PFC Blazkowicz has shown to have a skillset on par with soldiers years ahead of him. Possibly even more.

Being an orphan, he handed in transcripts with a faked age in order to gain entry in the UGMC. Something that was overlooked until his training was completed and his birth records had been located.

However, instead of punishment and imprisonment. Those that had trained him had admitted to seeing something in Blazkowicz that was a rare sight found in other recruits and the fact of his family's long military history, and they all came to the agreement to allow him to serve instead of sending him off and have all that training go to waste.

Despite his rather silent nature, Blazkowicz has shown on numerous occasions to have an unbreakable will in the face of overwhelming odds. Even when the other Marines began to beat and haze the young PFC due to the discovery of his Argentan heritage, but he refused to give in and fought back. His records indicate multiple trips to the infirmary, but not once did he reveal the names of his attackers. It is believed that he was proving to his fellow Marines that he was just as strong as they were.

He was given the nicknames, due to an incident that occured from the final month of his training. Three older Marines gotten intoxicated and attempted to kill Blazkowicz when he was on his way back from the mess hall. The fight resulted in the deaths of three men and the PFC suffering minor injuries. Once the footage of the altercation was revealed, the incident was labeled as self-defense and Blazkowicz was free of all charges.

Since then, he has been refered to by the names 'Reaper' and 'Terror Johnny' by fellow recruits and superiors alike.
