-Bethany-

"Bethany! this is the last time I am going to tell you, pack your things and get moving!" Mom yelled as she headed to the car. I scrambled up from my bed, fumbling with my purple suitcase. What to take, what to take I thought over in my mind. I knew where I was going was hot and sunny so I decided on my favorite bikini's, loose singlets, shorts and a few dresses.

"Bethany! 5 minutes!" I heard mom call from downstairs

"Comming Mom!" I called back

I was so excited to head to Miami, maybe not excited for the 1145 mile drive but it would be worth it in the end!

As the last suitcases were packed into the car, I jumped in next to my older brother, Finn who hummed silently to the song playing in his ear phones. Dad had decided to play some old record music that was from the 60's, he also thought he could sing, when truly he couldn't. Mom joined in with him and the pair of them sounded like people screaming! I didn't mind it though, at least they were happy, I liked to see them smile.

I slipped in my ear phones and braced myself for the long trip ahead of me. I didn't mind car trips there was something about them that relaxed me. The light shaking of the window against my head soothed me to sleep.

"W-w-what?" I mumbled as I was jerked awake

"You were snoring" smirked Finn

I gave him a light shove as I sat up and ran a hand through my long curly brown hair. I pulled my hair around my face, smiley at how pretty it was. If anything I liked about myself was my hair. It was long and fell into ringlets at the bottom, it was always complimented unlike any other part of myself.

"Do you want to stay at a motel?"

Mom inquired. She looked exhausted, her wrinkles playing into effect as she gave a soft smile. We all agreed and stopped at a small motel.

As I awoke the next day, the sun greeted us with a cheerful smile and a bright ray of light. I loved this weather, I smiled as I opened the blinds behind Finn's bed as payback for the snoring in the car. Mom and Dad layed motionless in their bed so I decided to embed myself in between them, Dad grunted and moved over as Mom put her arm around my waist and continued to sleep peacefully.

"Let's go!" Dad called as we all slipped out the motel room and into the beautiful day, We were half way to Miami and it would only take us the day to arrive there.

As I laid my head against the window I looked out at the beautiful blue sky. I wound down my window and stuck my head out to embrace the breeze. Finn laughed and called me stupid, but I enjoyed having my face whipped with the breeze.

"Beth, Finn listen to this song." Mom whispered as the beginning music played. Mom entertwined her fingers with Dad's free hand and smiled at him, he mouthed the words to the song during the chorus as Mom swayed her head to the tune. Finn wasn't paying much notice to our parents rather the lyrics, he had figured out why the song was important, I hadn't I was to focused on watching the love they shared. I hoped one day I would find love like there's. As the song came to a close Mom smiled to herself before turning to us and saying "This was our wedding song"

There love was strong. When Finn was born premature their love was tested but they had remained strong. Finn now 19 was a reminder of their love that had triumphed. Myself was a reminder that they lasted and the love from my birth a year later had proven the strength. Mom fiddled with her wedding ring, smiling at the memories it held.

As the day wore on, everyone was tired. "Jack, can you turn the music down" Mom murmured to Dad as she leant herself against the door. I to mimicked her actions and leant against the door slowly falling asleep to the tapping of Finns fingers on his leg as he strummed to a beat.

"Miami." Dad announced, awaking Mom and I from our sleep. I glared out the window embracing the Miami sky. A dark blanket with shinning stars. "Emma, look." Dad motioned to Mom as he pointed to the dark shadows of the crashing waves.

"Finally here" I herd Finn murmur to himself. Finally here we were.
