Her uncle is smart. Within an hour he uncovers my real identity. Others might find it glorious to be in a relationship with godly beings. Uncle Mar surely will not be one of them. I can see in his face now how he despises me. This is blasphemy in his eyes and his beliefs.

"So Elmo.... It means protector," he states as a narrative but not a question. I remain silent.

"So you are the caretaker of Germany .... or Italy.... ancient Rome perhaps?" now with a mockingly manner.

"I am not in a position to answer, you know it sir," I politely answer.

"I think I saw you before, you face look very familiar," he has a good memory.

"You are the doctor who after injected something to my brother miraculously healed five years before he died," the accuracy of his recollection is remarkable.

"That water came from Pool of Bethesda, Raphael really got angry at me that time as I did not asked permission from him," I enlighten him.

"Thank you for extending his life, he able to attend her graduation," his gratitude is sincere. "I know Raphael's story as he is a namesake of my son, can you ask him, doesn't he get tired stirring that pool?" we both laugh at this humor.

"Elmo," he seriously calls me. "You know there's no future for you and my niece. God forbids it. You see how your fellow Elohim and other angels were punish during the flood and after the flood," he begs.

"Sir, I love your niece. I have pure intention with her," I plead.

"It doesn't matter, you know it is forbidden. What kind of family you will give her? Your children will be nephilims," he says it as if he's sure we will have children.

"I promise sir, I will take care of her, no harm will come her way, I will protect her," I assure him.

"Then why your kind not able to do something when Joshua hunted the Anakims," he glares.

"Because those Anakims deserved what they got. Their story is different with us. I am sure my Father will forgive us," I don't really know if He will.

"Did you bewitch my niece? Did she love you on her own?" he accuses me. I don't know how but I feel hurt with what he said.

"NO, I WILL NEVER DO THAT," I scowl. "I never take away her free will. What she does is out of her own volition," he was taken aback when I uttered these. I have no idea if it is because I shouted or because I glowed.

"Then you will damn her soul with you," he says with full of conviction. "Please save her soul as you did with Sarai," he didn't get the last correctly as I was forbidden by my father and brothers, only this time he's the one forbidding me.

Him mentioning Sarai, it hits me. I don't want her soul to be damn. I don't want her soul to be punished. I don't want to leave her, but leaving her is the only way I can saved her soul.

I walk towards the door, open it and get out without saying anything. It's raining outside and I don't mind the rain as I am numb. I return to being numb with the senses. I will leave the love of my life and it kills me, in metaphorical sense of course.

As I walk in the strong rain, a familiar voice calls me.

"Elmo," she calls me.

"Your uncle Mar is right. Your soul will be damn for loving me," I told coldly as I hide what my real feeling is. "Isn't the reason why you go to him? You are afraid of me?"

"Ohhh for such heavenly being you are so naïve," she retorted. "I came to him because you lied. You didn't tell me who you really are."

"I did not lie. I just didn't tell you. That's different," I offer.

"Don't give me silly excuses, I don't care if you lied but why you are going to leave me? I am listening to both of you and you said you respect my free will. So why not give me a say about ending our relationship?" of course she listens. All of the things she says are true and sincere.

"Aren't you afraid what's your future with me?" my response with her.

"The only thing I'm afraid in the future is a future without YOU. I love you Elmo," she walks toward me.

I am standing idle while watching her. I can hear her heart beats dominating the sound of the falling rain. God she's lovely beautiful. Her name does make justice how angelic her face is. She loves me.

As she's a half a foot away from me she hold my face with both hands. The lightning strikes in the skies and it shines blindly covering the street where we are in great white light.

She kisses me as the thunder roars majestically in heaven.

End.
