Hayley's pov
I knew about my girlfriend's addiction, she was poor because of it, and she wouldn't let me help her. She was broken, haunted by her past, I tried to help. But I'm afraid I may have been too late. I found her unconscious yesterday from an apparent overdose on heroin. She's in a coma. The doctor's hold out hope that she'll make it though. Of course she's doing better as well. Today was our two year anniversary as well, how awkward. I was gonna propose today, until this happened. I was a mess, I have barely even left the hospital. She looks peaceful, I hold out hope she'll wake up soon.
