At the start of the film theres a body lying on a table and it's the dead body of John kramer they open him up and they fine a tape in his stomach.
Riggs goes through some test to save his friends Eric matthews who got trapped in the bathroom at the end of SAW ll and Mark Hoffman who is tied to a chair Eric is standing in a block of ice which is melting and its lincked to Hoffmans chair he he moves or if it melts he will be electrocuted and you fine out about the puppet Billy that John made the puppet for his and Jill's baby but the baby was never born.
