I'd like to tell you the story of a special human being I once had the honour to meet. I was making my way through a park, I can't remember which one it was anymore, but I remember exactly how I stumbled into that man, because I was looking down. The man, a fragile figure, who didn't seem to be very strong, fell to the ground and I apologized immediately. He looked up and took the hand I offered him to get up, just to let go of my hand very quickly. "What is it?" I asked when I saw his reaction and he looked at me with wide, pitiful eyes and said: "I am so sorry. This looks like it hurts. Do you wanna talk about what happened?" I am certain that you can imagine just how confused I was after that. Because you see, I really was on my way to talk to someone about what had happened. I made my way through the park because I wanted to reach a friend of mine as fast as possible. And I looked down to hide my hurt eyes from the outside world. The reason I wanted to reach that very good friend of mine, was that my current boyfriend had betrayed me. But not only me, he had betrayed my trust. He wasn't cheating. I know that people do such things, but this wasn't about something like that. It was more than that. I had come to our flat just to see that he had told Benja about where I lived. You see Benja was someone from my past. That past I'd always wanted to forget. And he had promised me to keep me save from him. And not only him, but to keep me save from my past. It had Turned out that I had trusted the wrong people. When I came home that day, Benja was in our living room and all I could do was turn around and run. I consider myself lucky, that Benja never really had been smart, nor had he been aware about his environment, so when I left, he did not hear the closing door.
The betrayal hurt and maybe my eyes looked tired, but still, the stranger looked at my hand when he said: "This looks like it hurt." After some time, he must have realised my confusion, because he looked me in the eyes and added a silent: "I'm sorry. I should have introduced myself. My name is Josias." I was still confused and so I asked: "What exactly do you mean with: "This looks like it hurt?" He started to walk towards one of the park banks and made gestures that told me to follow him. And so after we sat on that blue park bank for quite a while he finally opened his mouth. "The scar on your hand. Who did this to you? It looks so new." Now I was even more confused and looked down at my hand. There was no scar to be seen. Which scar should be there? "Honestly I don't know what you mean." I answered and showed him my hand. "Look there is no scar. Are you sure that you are alright?" I started to worry, if the fall might have done something to his head. 'Maybe I should bring him to the hospital' I thought, but he nodded. "Yes I am sure. But I don't think that you are. Whoever broke your trust, it must have been someone really important to you." "Could you please stop talking in riddles and tell me what you mean by that?" I asked, now a little annoyed, also if there was still worry left. "Of course." he answered. "But could you tell me who you are at first? It would make things less creepy if I knew your name." 'Not really.' I thought. 'This question only makes it more creepy.' But I told him my name. "I am Leno." I answered and he mumbled: "Little Lion." and a small smile appeared on his face. "I hope you can fight as good as the animal you've got your name from Leno." I kept the thought of how weird all of this was in my mind and simply said: "Well, you wanted to explain something?" He nodded and started to talk.

And that was how I learned about his ability to see the scars of others. How he could not only see physical scars, but also those that lay on our souls. "The hand is the most likely place for trust that has been broken." he explained. At first I did not want to believe him, but he pointed on some other places at my body. At first he pointed at my heart. "I can certainly see the damage that has been done to your heart. Since it looks just as old as the one on your hand I would say that it was your current partner who broke both, your trust and your heart." Then he looked down at my knee and winced in sympathy: "Your also afraid of something and want to run away." It looked like he scanned me after that. Then he said: "Well there are some more but most of them have healed very well. They are at least three years old. But you should take care about the one on you shoulder. It looks like it is opening again. That could mean that your anxiety could come back." After that I really started to believe him. How could someone know so much? It all fitted. Then we talked for a while. He did not ask again if I wanted to talk about what happened and I was thankful for this, but after sometime had passed, I stood up and waved goodbye, somehow feeling so much better, also if we hadn't really talked about what had happened. He waved back and said: "If you ever need to talk, you should remember that you are not alone!"
And then he went away, heading in the opposite direction I was.
