"Hmmmn."

Bede rolls over in his bed, still half alseep. The morning light shone through the pathetic curtains that were a sad attempt at blocking the light. Trying to find a clock so he could figure out what time it was, his eyes scanned the room, searching for a clock, digital or not.

7:36.

Quite early. Though he was used to it. Restless nights. He sat up, swinging his legs over the bed and standing up. Bede brushed some of the hair in his face and looked at the bed.

Ah.

Why is Hop in his bed.

Or.

Why was he in Hops bed.

Bede soon came to realize that the Inn room he was in was not his own. Instead, it was his 'rivals'. He doesn't really dislike him though, but he still thought of the boy as annoying. But he was confused. And quite flustered.

Ahh well.. let me think

Bede shot up in a cold sweat, from his nightmare. Not necessarily a nightmare just..... an unpleasant memory. The orphanage. Where he grew up, and where he stayed for a while after his family got into some trouble. He never got along with anyone. Fights were a normal thing. Its like he never had a real friend. Always alone.

It... It was over wasn't it? He was in the city. He had his own room in the Inn. Nothing to worry about. No one to worry about. But.. that wasn't what he wanted. He wanted someone to care about him. He didn't want to be truly alone, he didnt-!

Bede got off of his bed and opened his hotel door, looking for one certain number. He heard it as they were checking in.

'3:11 am. I hope he's awake.'

Bede knocks on the door.

"Hop?"

The pokémon trainer stood there for a good few minutes. As he raised his hand to knock on the door again, it opened.

Bede darted his eyes off to the side and crossed his arms. Eye contact was not desirable in his current state.

"Bede?? You okay, mate? You don't look so well."

Bede scoffs.

"I am perfectly fine, excuse you."

What a dummy. If he's going to knock on someones door at 3 am, he better have a reason, instead of "I'm fine." This isn't an confrontation.

"Then... why'd you knock on my door at 3 in the morning?"

Hop scratches his neck, confused. Bede sniffles.

"Well, I thought maybe that."

He looks down at the ground.

"I just um."

"I had a..."

Hop chuckles.

"A nightmare, huh? and you don't wanna be alone?"

Alarmed, the fairy trainer shouted.

"Absolutely not! I just.... Alright.."

Bede uncrossed his arms and stepped into his hotel room.

"I can um. Sleep on the couch or floor. I just.. wanted company."

"Oh! But you'll be uncomfortable, man. Come on, we can share a bed, its not that big of a deal."

The trainers face turned extremely red and he looked at Hop.

"Absolutely not! I have basic human decency, you know! I will not sleep in the same bed as.. a guy."

"Geez. Harsh. I'm just tryin' to help."

A while later, Hop was pretty much just laying in his bed, half asleep, while Bede was sitting on the couch with a blanket. Dead awake with thoughts. He needed something. Something to hug, or clutch, or-

He looked at Hop.

"Don't think of this weirdly, because I am a straight male, but maybe I shall take up your offer as to sleep on the bed. With you."

The other trainer rolled over to look at Bede.

"Knew you'd come around! Come on."

Hop moves over and pats the other side of the bed next to him. Bede awkwardly crawls in and pulls some of the blanket over him.

Time passes and Bede is sure Hop is sleeping. Hesitantly, he brings his arms around Hop and hugs him.

"Cuddling me, are ya? This relationship is movin' a bit too fast."

Hop chuckles. Bede blushes.

"Ah- I didn't mean it like that, you fool! I was just.."

"Its fine, Bede. Chill out, Im not makin' fun of you.

Now, go to sleep."

Time passed.

Bad dream.

Bad thoughts.

4:28 am.

Can't sleep.

Bede pathetically sobbed, tightening his clutch on Hop, not wanting to let go.

"Bede?"

He stopped.

"Are you crying?"

"I-I'm not. I'm n-not crying. I-"

Hop manages to release Bedes grip on him and turns to face the boy.

"Hey, calm down. I'm here. You're okay, Bede."

Hop smiles that stupid friendly smile and wipes the tears off Bedes cheeks.
Now you need to say no homo, Hop.

Hop is now the one hugging Bede.

"Rest, okay? You'll be fine. I'm here. You can talk to me whenever. You don't have to hide anything."

Ah. Thats what happened.

Bede sighs, and blushes. He should get out of here before the still asleep boy wakes up. The trainer slips his shoes on, but he doesn't have his coat, since he left that in his inn room. He opens the door and standing in the doorway, about to knock, is Gloria.

"Ah. Hello."

"Bede? What are you-"

"I must leave. Bye."

Bede exits the room and speedwalks back to his immediately.

How embarrassing.
