Lily's pov:
My alarm woke me up at 6:45, it was the first time in a while I'd woken up so early. Summer had been amazing, I spent so much time with the girls, we went to amazing events like Glastonbury festival and had so much fun, but that was all over, it was time to get back to school. Back to early mornings and homework.
I went downstairs and ate my breakfast, my mum and brother had already left for work so I was home alone, but it was ok as I still had the cats. I went back upstairs and brushed my teeth and put my school uniform on. I did light makeup, mascara, some concealer and lip gloss. I grabbed my backpack and put my lunch and books in it. I put my coat and shoes on and grabbed my phone and left the house, not before I locked the door. I walked to Ella's house and then we walked to Tessa and Skylar's house to walk with them. We knocked the door and Sebastian answered, him and Ella had been talking a lot over the Summer so I kind of felt like a third wheel, they were so flirty! Luckily, the girls didn't take long so we quickly left and made our way to school. We didn't walk with the other girls as they lived on the other side of town, so Becca, Leah and Izzie walked together. We entered the school gate with five minutes to spare so we just stood outside our A.M's. Me, Ella, Becca and Leah were in 11E and Izzie, Skylar and Tessa were in 11A. Our A.M's were right near each other so we always met there in the mornings. As the bell went, the 'popular' group of boys walked over, we were friends with them as people considered us the 'popular' girls. Among the boys were, Jordan, Sebastian, Jonah, Callum, Jamie and Ben. Jordan, Callum and Jamie were in 11E and Sebastian, Jonah and Ben were in 11A. Sebastian, Skylar and Tessa were triplets and that is why they were put in the same A.M and have been since year 7. That's why our groups were so close, as we had siblings amongst our groups. We walked into class and Miss had made a new seating plan. As she called out my name, I looked up.
Miss: "On this table can I have Lily, next to her Jordan. Here, Leah and next to her Callum."
At least Leah and I are on the same table so it won't be that bad. (They are on tables of four by the way). I've known Callum for ages, our mums are friends and we have been on family holidays together, we are like best friends. As for Jordan, I've had a small crush on him since last year but I haven't done anything about it. I haven't even told the girls as I know they would tease me about it.
At our table, none of us complained as we were all friends anyway so it really wasn't bad at all.
~Time skip to lunch~
Me and the girls met up outside in the courts as most of us were in different lessons. The boys were playing football and we just ate our lunch on the sidelines. The ball slowly rolled over to us and Jordan ran over to come get it. Ella was with Sebastian, and Becca, Leah and Tessa has gone to the toilets, so it was just me, Skylar and Izzie. I picked the ball up and handed it back to Jordan, he thanked me with a smile and my heart fluttered as I smiled back. As I turned back to the girls, they just stared at me with grins on their faces.
"What?" I questioned.
"You two were totally checking each other out!" Squealed Skylar.
"No we wer-... wait, he was checking me out?" I replied in surprise.
"Oh my god you like him don't you, you have a little crush on him!" Teased Izzie.
"Maybe a little one," I replied blushing.
They both gasped.
Becca, Leah and Tessa had come back from the toilets.
"What were you guys talking about?" Asked Leah.
"Nothing!" I replied quickly.
"Hmm, sure," replied Becca.
Skylar and Izzie both winked at me and I let out a sigh of relief. I didn't want all of the girls to know, especially Ella and Tessa as I knew they would accidentally let it slip that I liked Jordan.
~Time skip to when she gets home~
I'd already said goodbye to the girls and kept walking until I got home. The door was already unlocked, my brother was home early. We hadn't always had a lovely relationship but as we got older, we had become kinder to one another.
"Hey Lilian, how was your first day of year 11?" Asked James.
I was 16 and he was still using my full name. He was in his second year of an apprenticeship at a local engineering company and worked there Monday till Thursday and studied at college on Fridays.
"It wasn't bad, just the usual really, new seating plans and timetables and annoying year 7's who think they own the place." I replied.
He chuckled at the last part and said, "I know, I swear the year 7's get cockier every year."
It was a very true statement.
"Oh, Jade's here by the way, she's upstairs." James said.
Jade was James' girlfriend and was super nice, we were really good friends and went shopping together all the time.
I hadn't seen her for weeks as she went to America with her family for over two weeks at the end of Summer. I ran upstairs and tackled her into a hug.
"Oh my god, Lily it's great to see you again, I missed you!" Exclaimed Jade.
"I know, I missed you too! Look at your tan, I'm so jealous!" I squealed in reply.
We continued chatting until my brother literally threw me out of his room as he also hadn't seen his girlfriend in weeks. I said bye and went into my room to watch something on Netflix. I ended up just watching some more of Free Rein, Skylar would be so happy cause she loves horses and wants me to see how great they are and that show gave me a new found respect for horses. For dinner my mum made spaghetti bolognese which was delicious. I then did my daily workout, 50 crunches, 50 sit-ups, 1 min plank, 1 min wall-sit, bicycle kicks. Then, I took a shower, washed my hair, and changed into my pyjama shorts and a baggy t-shirt. Jade had already left and gone home. I put my hair in Dutch braids, washed my face, moisturised and then got into bed. I was scrolling through my phone when I saw I had a text from Jordan on Snapchat.
J: Hey Lils, what's up?
L: Not much, just getting ready for bed, you?
J: Pretty much the same to be honest. How was your day?
The conversation continued and we just got to know each other better by asking questions like 'what's your favourite animal?' and 'do you have any pets?'. It was nice to just talk to someone for awhile. I started to get tired so we said goodnight and I watched ASMR until I fell asleep.~1241 words
