Stressed Out

*Sonny had been cold and distant all week with Amanda. On top of it her kids were fussy and cranky 24/7. She was overworked. She still didn't have time to see a doctor about her knee. Yes she had it checked out before her sister showed up but it's still been bothering her often times having to sit after standing or walking for a long time. Amanda had made the decision to go to  the courthouse to see if he wanted to come over and see her kids*

Amanda: Hey 

Carisi: Hi..

Amanda: I was wondering if you wanted to come over and see your girls. Jesse has been begging to see you. 

Carisi: Yeah um maybe not today. Okay?

*Amanda was taken aback by his answer. He's always been eager to see her children*

Amanda: Okay...

*With that Carisi walked past Amanda leaving her stunned*

*Back at Amanda's apartment Amanda sat next to a sulking Jesse at the kitchen table*

Jesse: Is Uncle Sonny coming?

Amanda: You know what Jess. Uncle Sonny is umm. He's been really busy lately so it's just going to be me, you, and your sister for a while. Yeah? What do you want for dinner?

Jesse: I'm not hungry...

Amanda: Do you want Spaghetti?

*Jesse Shook her head*

Amanda: How about some chicken nuggets??

*Jesse shook her head yet again*

Amanda: How about A hot dog or a corn dog?

Jesse: No

Amanda: How about I order a pizza?

*Jesse shook her head once again*

Amanda: I don't want you to go to bed hungry Jess...

Jesse: I'm not hungry!

Amanda: How about this. I'll order a pizza and you and your sister can watch a movie while we wait and if you're hungry when the pizza gets here you can have some?? Sound like a deal?

*Jesse nodded her head however Billie started to fuss in her playpen at the lack of attention her mother was giving her and Amanda was quick to stand up and scoop up her baby*

*However when Amanda turned around Jesse was gone and the front door was open*

Amanda: Jesse Murphy Rollins!

*A father across the hall returnedJesse as soon as Amanda hit the doorway to the apartment*

Amanda: Thank you. I'm sorry I turned my back for one second. Jesse get in there. 

*Amanda had come back and she put Jesse in a chair as a timeout*

Amanda:  You sit there for four minutes and you do not get up. Understood?

*Jesse nodded her head*

*After Amanda ordered the pizza there was a soft knock at her door, she just managed to get Billie calmed down enough but when the knock was heard at the door Billie began to fuss again but easily calmed once she recognized her mothers presence*

Amanda: Okay I know it's called fast food but that was too fast.... You stay there Jesse..

Jesse: Yes Mommy...

*When Amanda answered the door she was greeted by not the pizza man but Carisi. Much to his dissapointment she didn't seem thrilled to see him. Instead of verbally inviting him in she walked away from the door but left the door open letting him know he was still welcome*

Carisi: I'm sorry Amanda I was acting like a child. I just got a little jealous of how close you and Hasim were and I am not going to ask if you're dating him or not because that's none of my business. But all I ever want is for you to be happy so if he makes you happy, I'm happy. 

*Amanda sat there and Carisi observed her*

Carisi: You look exhausted...

Amanda: Thanks. 

Carisi: No I just- Is everything okay. 

Amanda: I don't know Carisi. Jesse's been wanting to see you and because of it she acts out and runs out the door when I look away for one second. She throws tantrums. She's definitely a Rollins child because she has the attitude of her mother. and Billie's constantly fussing, even crying till her face goes red for I assume the same reason. Listen whatever goes on between us I don't want it to come between my girls. You love them and they love you. Why can't we just keep adult business between the adults. Don't punish my babies please Carisi. 

Carisi: Okay

*Amanda nodded and Jesse's timer went off*

Amanda: UNCLE SONNY!!

Carisi: Hey!

*Jesse ran up to Carisi and he picked her up*

Carisi: You gotta stop running out the door kid. You scare your momma when you do that. 

*another knock was heard at the door indicating the pizza guy was there to deliver their pizza*

Amanda: Pizza Time!

Jesse: Yay!!

Amanda: You can stay if you want...

Carisi: I would love to. 

*The two smiled at eachother*
