1: When the night falls

"So, you finished with the case?" asked Taehyung as he smoked his cigarette. I turned to him and nodded, doing the same thing he was. Satisfaction came over Taehyung. He and I were now at peace after solving a murder mystery. 

Here's a little bit about myself:

I'm Kim Dahyun, a detective. My partner is Kim Taehyung. I just finished a very long case that involved murder and overdosing.  I'm 21 years old and single, but I have a crush on Taehyung. He couldn't help me a lot because he was busy with another case.

"We should probably head back to the department instead of standing outside smoking, you think?" said Taehyung as he threw his cigarette to the ground. I laughed, then responded. "When do you ever lie, hmm?" I said as I started walking among the trail. Taehyung instantly followed behind me.

We were having an interesting conversation about whether the chief is gay or not, and we both agreed that he is. The chief of our department, Kim Hongjoong, has always been a bit suspicious, but it's just how he is. He's always hanging out with the owner of a mental asylum, Park Seonghwa. I don't like that man at all.

As we kept walking along the trail, Taehyung spotted a friend of mine. I had many friends, but this one is my best friend....Besides Taehyung. 

"Hey, Jihyo!" I said as I hugged her tightly. She hugged me back. "How's it going with Daniel?" I asked as I watched her twirl her hair around. That's Jihyo for you. "It's going pretty good. He's been busy writing books and stuff, though." she said,smiling at us nonstop. 

"Why, I was just heading back home. It's getting late. Don't you think you should do the same?" she asked as she got a bit concerned. "Oh,yeah, we were just going to go to the department, then go home." I responded. Taehyung was getting annoyed.

"Well, we best get going. See you around, Jihyo!" said Taehyung as he grabbed my arm and walked away. Jihyo looked at us, then started walking along back to house. 

"Hey! What was that for?" 

"You talk to much."

"You're mean!" 

He laughed at my words. "You call me mean for trying to get to our destination faster?Wow, I just fancy your actions." he said. I kept trying to pull my wrist away from his hand, but it wouldn't work. His hands were like steel. I wonder why.

"Well, it looks like we arrived!" I said. I guess I caught him off guard or something, because his grip loosened up, and my wrist was free, yet he stayed completely silent. We just stood there in front of the entrance waiting to see who would go in first. Little did we know, somebody saw our weirdness. 

"Are you two okay?" asked Moonbyul as she opened the door for us. We entered the building right behind Moonbyul. 

"Ok, you two must explain why the hell you were both just standing there?" she asked. Me and Taehyung looked at each other, seeing who was going to explain what happened, but it just made us look stupid again.

"You guys are weird. Anyways, let's go to the meeting room." she said as she grabbed both of our wrist and took us there. My wrist is so sore at this point. I need a break. Why do people like grabbing me so much?

"Taehyung and Dahyun! Good to see you! We are gonna make this quick so we can all go home, ok?" said Hongjoong as he watched us sit down. His eyes were just so scary that they took my breath away. He was only watching me.

"What is it, sir?" I asked as I looked down, trying to avoid eye contact. Taehyung was happy he didn't look stupid with me. Moonbyul was chuckling to herself, while Woojin and Wonho just gave me weird looks. 

"I thought it was obvious. But anyways, onto the meeting. We are gathered here to talk. So anyways, there's been a big breakout at the asylum a few blocks from here. The patients are all missing. We can discuss the rest tomorrow." he said, packing his bags. What a waste of time.

"Shall we go home, Dahyun?" asked Taehyung as he got up. "Yeah, let's go. I'm tired." I responded, ready to leave. It felt like we just got there, though.
